Stagecoach Moving

I used this company for many years to do local moves and such. On 6/13 I hired them to pack an ABF trailer that would be driven by ABF. I asked them to take particular care of one thing. My refrigerator. It was less than a year old and $4k. The men who showed up this time I did not know. I had blankets, pillows, bubble wrap, and foam wrap. They waited to put the fridge on the truck last and even made a call to their boss/owner Joe Hernandez to get a thicker blanket. They than put the lock on the trailer which only ABF has the key to so I could not inspect it. When my stuff got to Wisconsin, the 27 ropes that were hanging from the insides of the trailer walls had not been used, half the blankets were still in the garbage bags, and none of the bubble or foam wrap had been touched. The first thing I saw when the ABF driver opened the doors were my dining room chairs split and scratched on top of the heap. My 4k fridge was not even wrapped in a blanket. The movers had put my little giant ladder right next to it only separated by a blanket-which put a big black rubbing mark due to moving friction. 2 of the chairs had smashed into the doors and look as if someone played gold against them. The most damage was done when they moved the fridge out of the house and rubbed the freezer door against a door hinge and left an 18 inch deep dent. Basically every door was dented. They threw the handles unprotected onto the floor of the trailer and they are scratched up badly. And the screws for the handles-I have no clue where they are. Watty Puryear sent me an email stating they would replace the damage but Joe reniged on that and offered to send a service guy out. Dents and scratches cannot be serviced. They said they were not responsible for damage after they closed doors. My entire bedroon set is scratched up, my dining room chairs are ruined, and my fridge...well...... This is negligence. The guys were drinking open beer in the car as they drove away from my house. My wood furniture is kinkaid and worth over 10k total and the only gripe I had was fixing my fridge. The stuff did not get damaged from the drive. It was faulty packing. This is going to court in Austin and I highly recommend that nobody trust this company. This company services the Dripping Springs area and Austin. Beware.
