Ruby's BBQ

Ruby's was not only delicious but it was affordable and fun. The service an atmosphere is laid back and casual which is cool AND they played wacky cartoon music and Otis Redding while I ate. I appreciated that is was open late because it's just like me to get a late start on the evening. I highly recommend Ruby's even to those who are a little afraid of BBQ because of stomach issues and heartburn or what not. It's not spicy, just flavorful my favorite was the pulled pork sandwich. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I will MOST DEFINITELY go back to Ruby's every time I'm in Austin.

I've loved Ruby's BBQ ever since I started going there about 9 years ago. My absolute favorite there is their chopped beef BBQ. It's the best I've ever had. They have minced bits of jalapenos and onions in it that make it kind of spicey and super flavorful. I also love their sides, especially their salad with the balsamic vinaigrette. The only thing I've found lacking so far is that I've had dessert there once and it wasn't too hot.



The service is usually very casual but nice and polite. When you ask them for something, they're always friendly.



I also love that they're open late for a BBQ joint. I think it's until midnight or something.
