The Quick Draw Photo Booth is a Portable, Participatory, Portraiture Performance.
General Info
A voice from inside the booth invites people to come in and have their picture taken. What follows is a familiar routine: come in, sit down, peer into the camera lens and wait for the flash bulb. Unique to this experience however, is a live photographer hidden in a tiny room behind the camera. The audience does not see the artist, but through the camera the artist can see the audience. Some entertaining banter is exchanged as 3 photos are snapped followed by a 3-minute-or-less “development†phase. This “development†is actually a quick drawing of each photo onto a paper filmstrip that is offered as a keepsake.
Hand-Drawn Photo Booth Portraits: A variation of the classic photo booth with some unexpected twists that invite people to become a part of the creative experience.
