Overall

I have a very, very bad experience with PC Genie. I sent my laptop to the store to replace the screen around 4:00pm on May 13, 2013. However, around 1 hour later, I was told my motherboard is dead. In the front desk, the guy had checked the laptop and the hard drive lamp is on after push the power button. Before I sent my laptop to this store, the laptop works quite well with an external monitor. After 1 hour, the whole computer crashed.

More furious, the guy did admit the motherboard dead in his store but claim that's not his fault. He claim the motherboard dead by accident. However, when I do some research online I found before replace the screen or do any test of the screen, the battery should be removed. Otherwise, the motherboard might be damaged. Refer to http://www.computerbasem…

I also consult the IT expert in my department, the motherboard could be damged when replacing screen.

I did see he test the screen (with an extra backlight) with the battery inside and argue with me that battery inside doesn't matter anything.

I have spent too many hours arguing but I haven't got a satisfactory response yet. I am keeping arguing. This is not a store to repair computer but to make your computer even worse.

I have contacted him several times and negotiated with him. Now he becomes very impatient (or angry already) and refuses to talk with me anymore. Just ask me to leave with my laptop and never comes back. He didn't know me!!! I cannot talk with him anymore. So I am asking for legal help
