I have used computer repair services in the past with not the best results. I would highly recommend Nerds In A Flash. Very professional, upfront about costs and quick service. I will definitely use them again for any future needs.

James Allen of NIAF was super responsive. Respected my home, COVID masked, and walked me through what needed to be done with a clear quote for the work.

He did a fabulous job and my computer, which was dead in the water, operates better than when I first got it! Upgraded OS, cleaned up malware, configured settings to optimize performance, and upgraded disk space to 0.5TB allowing me to store on laptop, with backup on OneDrive...nicely synched and also Carbonite backup for extra good measure. Previously, only had 165GB which was eaten up mostly by applications and OS, so I feel much more secure and have flexible storage options. Boot up time is almost instantaneous!

I fully endorse James and NIAF and they are now my default contract IT support team!

Best EVER!

I called yesterday to have my computer repaired, they were fully booked for the day but scheduled me for 1PM today. The technician was here 15 minutes early (even had to wait on me to get back from the store!). The technician was very friendly, and patient with me. Needless to say, in about 45 minutes he was able to identify the issue (my printer was not printing), and resolve it! Turns out I had two issues, the drivers were not installing correctly from the HP disk, and I had a bad USB cable. I highly recommend these guys, and told all of my friends about them. They are professional, and highly affordable. I will be their customer for life!

Excellent Service.

Bottom line is these guys are reliable. I have used this company twice now and both times I have had a technician at my door step within two hours and my problem solved in no time. A+

More Trouble than It's Worth

Called NIAF based on a friend's recommendation and positive online reviews, for a tune-up for my 3 year old desktop running WinXP. The very personable tech came out, after a couple of mis-communications, and announced that I needed a reformat of my hard drive. I decided to go with the "expert opinion", and asked in some detail about what would be included. I got the distinct impression that I would be left with a computer in good or better working condition than I started.

A week later, I have a computer that does basics, but needs about a day's work to be useful in my small business. I will have to update most of software, including Windows, re-install several key pieces of software, such as the printer software, and delete a lot of stuff that is on the hard drive uninvited.

The tech was all set to leave, so I tested out the email. Oops! It wouldn't send. It took another hour and a call to tech support to get it working. I lost all my old email files because he couldn't get Thunderbird to install and migrate the files to a new version.

I thought that going with someone from a "company" instead of my usual "friend of a friend" might work out better. Instead, I not only get to pay a "professional" price, I have to clean up the mess he left. Not very cost effective.

Not quite the whole story. The customer had stated at the time of the Reformat suggestion that she had already backed up all personal data so everything could be erased. After I returned the computer the customer had left out one critical part of her backup, her email. Out of courtesy and our strive to make all customers satified, and at no charge I took the computer back with me and tried to recover the deleted data the customer was sure that she had saved. We went above and beyond the call of duty to make an impossible situation better. After we returned, Godaddy's email server was having issues so I stayed on the phone with them until the issue was 100% resolved on their end and everything was working again on the customers end to ensure happiness.

FAST!

I have used several different computer companies over the years, and results always vary. Nerds in a flash has been very good to me, everytime I have needed them they have been here quickly. Reasonable rates as well. I suggest this service to anybody in need of computer help.
