DO NOT RENT - LEFT ME STRANDED AND DIDNT CARE I returned a beautiful, brand new streetglide to Cowboy after a great SXSW last year and was very happy. Nearly a thousand bucks for the week was a hit, but i loved every minute of the rental. Its a busy time of year for the city, i get it, i quickly learned that Austin cabs won't come that far out of town during sxsw and after waiting for 2 hrs for a ride back I asked the dealership for help. Maybe a a ride into town, or a least to a city bus. They flat out refused to help. At least 10 sales people for the 1 or 2 customers. there was at least half a dozen support staff, some of them chewing the fat in the managers office. and they left me no other option than to WALK back to austin along side a major highway. What kind of rental/dealership would leave a guy at the side of the road? This one.

A disgrace to the entire brand name of Harley Davidson. Seriously- Frack you Cowboys, stick your dealership up your tailpipe.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!!!YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! We recently purchased a road king from them and haven't even made the second payment on it and it is already breaking down.... When we purchased the bike Ron told us that they don't sell broke bikes, and this would be the last bike we would buy...ha. ... I guess i should have listened to the saying don't trust a salesman.....you would think they would fix the bike for free since it has only been 2 months....I recently spoke to Troy and he said he would take care of everything....did he...no they gave us a measly 10% off the repair cost...how dumb is that, I could have taken it somewhere else and got it fixed for way less than what they want to charge me.....never again will I allow anyone in my family to do business with cowboy Harley Davidson onion creek...

If it was possible to give NO ...

If it was possible to give NO stars, I would. I have FINALLY learned my lesson and will start taking all my HD business to Gruene. Where to start .. First, when I bought my bike, I financed with Cowboy HD, then refinanced with my Credit Union, I was WAY overcharged by Cowboy on the interest. Now I am paying 100.00 less a month and the bike will be paid off one year sooner than it would have been with Cowboy. Second, I tried to buy rear lights for my bike .. they sold me the FRONT lights. Third, I tried to buy spark plugs for my bike, they sold me the wrong ones. Fourth, I took my bike in for service, they couldnt find the problem the engine light still kept coming on. When I got the bike home, I found and replaced the cracked vaccum line myself. Fifth, I ordered broomstick handlebars for my bike last Saturday, I was told it would be there Tuesday .. I didnt hear from them so I called on Wednesday and told it was not delivered, but they would check with the warehouse and it would be there today. Go today and was told UPS delivered it to the wrong store. I asked for the UPS tracking number so I could track where it was myself. The story changed to the warehouse didnt send it and there is no way to know WHEN they will send it. They are not able to call the warehouse and they cant get a tracking number until the day they decide to send it. Needless to say, I am beyond pissed!! They do NOT care about the customers, they only care about the money and once they have that, you wont matter to them at all

Go Somewhere Else

I bought a used Buell from Cowboy. I really liked the bike, but should have walked away from all the hard-sell BS I got from the salesman (Mike, I think). I finally got them below Blue Book on price. Part of the "deal" was that they waived the $500 inspection and setup charge.

The tires looked pretty worn to me and I figured that I would need to replace them soon. The salesman assured me that they were OK and that the bike had passed Texas State Inspection from their mechanics. On the way home from the dealership, the bike scared me to death - unstable with speed wobbles. I took the bike to Cowboy's competition and they found problems with the tires - cracks and cupping on the front tire and wear beyond what would pass inspection some places on the rear.

I called the salesman and he was snide and unhelpful until I offered to bring in the state authorities to show them the tires he put me on.

I took the bike to the service dept. at Cowboy. The service manager came out to inspect the tires and looked like he had seen a ghost. It was a busy Saturday and he got me out with two new tires at no charge.

The salesman had the gall to glad hand me while I was waiting for the new tires - 'Hey good buddy. You all taken care of? Gonna tell all your friends what a great deal I gave ya? Isn't it great when everything works out?"

I smiled and told him, "Yeah, I'll tell people all about you."
