Overall
HORRIBLE WITH TODDLERS!

On 06/30/2014 I took my 3 year old to get fillings done to his teeth. Horrible decision! My baby doesn't like doctors, as would any child his age, and he immediately starts crying and doesn't want nobody touching him. The dental assistant strapped him into this velcro board thing which only made him scream louder. The dentist finally came in and starting doing his job but since my baby was wiggling and crying and screaming the dental assistant held his chin (improperly at that) extremely hard which causes his chin to slightly bruise and caused an abrasion. Not to mention that she shoved the dental block thing so hard in my babys mouth that it caused an extremely huge blister inside his bottom lip. Long story short, I called and complained and they requested I take him back in so the dentist himself can check to see if there maybe was a allergic reaction to something they used. Turned out after they "evaluated" him they immediately started pointing blame onto me and my baby. Saying maybe he fell or I wasn't watching him and he scratched himself so hard that bruised his chin. It has now been 8 days and they still deny what they did to him or take responsibility for what they did. I have been taking my kids here for 10 years and never had a problem with my older kids but as soon as something like this happens they try to blame the patient/parent instead of themselves. My babys mouth was so bad that it called for an ER visit, a pediatrician visit and several medications due to his mouth getting infected. Also his mouth got so swollen and infected that he was limited to foods and had to drink everything threw a straw. I have since filed a complaint to the BBB against this Stassney location and am currently searching for a new dental place that actually specializes in children's dentistry. So my recommendation would be to take your toddler/preschool kid to a place that specializes in children's dental work.

Overall
Not for young children

They are an okay facility for older children and/or adults. For smaller children needing work, please go somewhere else! First off, they still do the papoose strap board! I thought they got rid of that thing. For heaven sakes, just do referrals for the ones who need to be put to sleep! It's so dangerous to forcefully work in a child's mouth.

If they tell you that your child needs silver teeth request not to have Dr. Hendricks! She's actually the only one who doesn't use the board in the office, but come one lady, it took her 5 tries to put a silver cap in my 6-year olds mouth! She had the round gauze up against the cap/tooth, one hand gripping the top of her hand and one gripping the bottom of her face, pressing together to try to snap on the cap! Seriously! What tha!! When she was pushing it with just her finger, my daughter's whole body was sliding up and down. THEN! Get this! When they finally decided to try another size again, the dang cap got stuck on! They and I say they, because the doctor and the assistant BOTH had to try to dig the thing off her peice of tooth with the sharp curve tool. And the guy/assistant finally got it off. So yes, she was in pain all night because who know how torn up her gums are in the back.

And my daughter is tough, at four, she watched the er put stitches in her leg not crying one time, and hasn't cried in years in the doctor's office when it's time for her immunizatons, but this office broke her down.

If you have an emergency and need somewhere to go ASAP they will get you in, that is the only plus.
