Aztec Organic Pest Svc

We have used Aztec for years and really appreciate the minimalist approach that they offer. They just recommend treating as needed so as to limit the use of pesticides. The technicians are friendly and more importantly, honest. There have been several occasions when they have come out and decided that we didn't need service and just given us advice.

I heard about Aztec Organic Pest Control on KUT radio station. I usually research the company and look up most recent reviews to determine whether or not I will do business with them. I let my guard down and just hired them since I like listening to KUT and must have thought they won’t advertise unprofessional businesses. Aztec must have provided a financial contribution during fund drive to get air time.

I have used pest control services on and off since 2008. I always used Chem-Free Company. They are extremely professional and do a great job. I never ever had to call them twice. In an attempt to save money I switched to Aztec. What a mistake! I saved $50.00 but the aggravation they are costing me is much more than that. The technician who came to treat the house and the outside perimeter did not explain their 3 weeks policy. Being used to excellent service of Chem Free I expected to see no ants after the first treatment. However I keep seeing ants downstairs and what’s worse they migrated upstairs in the bathroom. I called twice. First I spoke to a guy and he was very unhelpful to say the least. He kept telling that it was normal to see ants the first 3 weeks and call them back after 3 weeks if the problem persists. When I asked him what I should do meanwhile the answer was “you can do whatever you want”. Is it the answer you give to the customer who has paid for the service, still having pest problems and seeking advice on how to handle the situation meaning do I spray with the stuff that I have been using, do I just ignore them, etc? The 2nd time I called the same guy had to put the owner on the phone. The things she has been saying make me doubt her sanity. When I asked her why the ants migrated upstairs, she suggested I ask the ants. Who in his or her right mind would say gibberish like this to the customer?! She was extremely rude, yelled, lost complete control of the situation and hung up on me. She refused to be accountable for her employees and their work. She said she was the owner and could do whatever she wanted to. As an owner she ought to be able to defuse a situation and handle it in a graceful manner no matter how unreasonable the customer can be. She really needs to go to business school or at the very least attend some workshops or seminars otherwise she is going to drive all the business away with her lack of manners, work ethic and inability to troubleshoot.

Unfortunately I am stuck with Aztec for 3 months. I hope that the ants will go away and I don’t have to deal with them anymore or if I do, they will be able to rise to the occasion and take care of their customer. I will keep you all interested posted.
