Our dog was losing hair in patches and scratching with such frequency that we eventually took off her collar so we didn't have to listen to the jangling of tags. Dr. Nichols found that her spots were infected. We ran a course of meds, added a special shampoo and voila!, relief. Her hair has grown back and her happy wagging tail is moving with vigor once again. Now match all of that wonderful medical knowledge with a fabulous bedside manner and you have Dr. Nichols. His staff was also very kind and helpful. Couldn't ask for more. I am a dog trainer and I now refer my clients whose dogs have allergy or dermatology issues to Animal Allergy & Dermatology.

Can count on them

My cat had been to numerous vets for the past six months because of recurring problems with extreme self-scratching, to the point she had wounds on head and neck, and none of them were able to help her. Dr.Nichols gave her a very thorough, caring exam and after administering a steroid shot, sent her home with special low-allergen food. I was very pleased with the clear and extensive explanations he gave me -- I wish my high-school science teachers had been as engaging -- and it turns out it was a food allergy, my cat stopped scratching herself and her fur is also as soft as when she was a little kitten.

Our dog suffers from terrible environmental allergies. She was tearing herself raw, and getting constant ear and staph infections as a result. When we discovered the vet here he made a huge difference. After skin testing she turned out to be allergic to everything from our cat to the trees to grass to carpet mites. We have to give her allergy shots every Monday, but she no longer tears up her skin from itching, and her secondary infections are much rarer.
