Prior to any Med Spa procedure, our aesthetician Lina consults with patients to determine which one of the Excel V Dual Laser System therapies is appropriate. Unlike some other laser procedures, injections or topical anesthesia are not required throughout the duration of the 15-30 minute procedure. To minimize discomfort and protect a patient’s skin, the technology employs a proprietary cooling mechanism. For vascular pigmentation issues, Lina will use the Excel V handpiece on the affected areas of the skin until the abnormal vessels, lesions or areas of hyperpigmentation diminish. The number of sessions depends on various parameters, including the size, thickness and color of the vascular lesion. Superficial vascular lesions such as small spider veins and diffused redness are easiest to treat; some patients might see significant improvement after just one treatment. When signs of aging, sun damage, acne, large pores, poor skin tone or wrinkles are the concern, a series of 4 to 6 Laser Genesis treatments are recommended to achieve optimal results. As well, a single Laser Genesis session is a great glow pick-me-up for your skin a few days prior to a special event.
