She became a partner in the firm after a varied career in public service. For four years, Cherie served as Athens County Domestic Relations Magistrate after working for two years as Assistant Athens County Prosecutor at the Child Support Enforcement Agency.

Zachary concentrates his practice primarily defending employers in workers' compensation, criminal defense, domestic relations and custody matters, and civil trial practice. His criminal defense practice consists of OMVI and other misdemeanor cases.
Cherie has also served as General Counsel and Business Law Professor at the University of Rio Grande. In addition, she served as Judicial Clerk for the Delaware Family Court in Wilmington, Delaware.
The firm has significant experience representing private employers and public agencies at all levels of the workers compensation process. We assist employers with initial advice and planning, through the administrative process, and to appeals to common pleas court.

ACS Athens is a full-service title and closing service. Through Cherie Gall, ACS arranges and conducts closings of residential and commercial real estate transactions, provides title examinations, and issues title insurance involving real estate transactions throughout Southeastern Ohio. We also have substantial experience in IRC section 1031 exchanges.
Land Use and Zoning
Our real estate department is involved in all aspects of the acquisition, sale, ownership, management, development, leasing, and financing of real estate, as well as all matters relating to real estate construction. From simple home purchases and sales to matters involving the development of unimproved land into multi-use property, shopping centers, and industrial and office parks, we provide services across the spectrum of real estate transactions. This includes all aspects of land use planning such as zoning, subdivision, and annexation.
Andrew J. Mollica is an Athens native who focuses his practices in personal injury litigation and administrative law matters, including Workers’ Compensation, Unemployment Compensation, and Social Security.
Steven T. Sloan has been a member of the firm since 1973. He practices in the areas of civil litigation, probate, estate planning, real estate, and business. Steve graduated from Albion College and obtained his law degree from Case Western Reserve University.

James D. Sillery is "Of Counsel" to the firm. He has a varied general practice emphasizing personal injury actions, insurance defense, wills and estates, real estate matters, and civil litigation.
Trusts
We create customized estate plans for each of our clients, including, as appropriate for the client, the creation of living and testamentary trusts, dynasty trusts, qualified personal residence trusts, charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts, grantor retained annuity trusts, and other revocable and irrevocable trusts.
Probate
For many years, Bob has served as a member and member emeritus of the governing Council of the Ohio State Bar Association’s Section on Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law. He was elected a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) in 2001, and was for several years selected as an Ohio “Super Lawyer.” Since its formation he has served as a representative of the Ohio State Bar Association on the joint committee of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Ohio Bankers’ League responsible for adapting the Uniform Trust Code to Ohio, and has been a frequent instructor for attorney continuing legal education. He is a member and past President of the Athens County Bar Association, and is a member of the Federalist Society.
