General Info: Southmont Elementary School is a part of Randolph County Schools, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools. Southmont Elementary School serves students in prekindergarten through grade five. It supports a variety of extracurricular courses in art, music, and health and physical education. The school offers the English as a Second Language program and foreign language sessions in Spanish. In addition, Southmont Elementary School offers medical care; physical, occupational and speech therapies; and guidance and counseling services to students. Its staff includes classroom and resource teachers, specialists, assistants, nurses, therapists and social workers. The school also offers gifted and exceptional education. It has a media center that supports a reading incentive program and organizes book fairs and family literacy nights. Southmont Elementary School is located in Asheboro, N.C.
