Would not recommend. Office is total chaos with doctor screaming at his incompetent staff. Billing was incorrect. Wasn't worth trying to fix since the office runs like a train wreck.

Medical Weight Loss
EPAT has never been tested on pregnant patients, so EPAT is best avoided by expectant mothers. If you are a new parent, you should wait to be treated for at least 3 months after delivering your baby, as your foot pain may subside after weight loss and when your hormone levels return to normal.

Arlington Foot and Ankle offers multiple types of laser treatments for patients who want to improve and remove fungal toenail infections. The laser, originally designed for cataract treatment, uses near-infrared light to target the fungus, leaving the surrounding nail intact. We use the Cutera Genesis Plus which is one of the few lasers that are FDA approved for the treatment of nail fungus. Dr. Pearl was selected to be on the FDA Laser Advisory Board and continues to study the effects of laser treatment on fungus.

When you seek treatment for a foot or ankle sprain, even if the injury is visible to the naked eye, your doctor may order imaging tests such as an x-ray, ultrasound, and/or MRI to rule out any broken bones. Broken bones in the foot or ankle can often present the same symptoms as a sprain. After testing and confirming that it is a sprain, your doctor will then perform a more thorough examination to diagnose the type of sprain and will prescribe any necessary treatment.

The cure for some chronic sports injuries can be elusive, with the most challenging aspect being the return to sports without chronic pain or a permanent injury. Research in the rapidly expanding field of regenerative sports medicine has found promising uses for amnion tissue in the form of amnion injections to heal sportâ€™s injuries. Some patients are turning to amniotic membrane injections to regenerate healthy tissue around an injury, rather than letting it heal into problematic scar tissue.

Chronic ankle instability is usually caused by repeated ankle sprains or strains and is described as the gradual giving way of the outside of the ankle. Symptoms of ankle instability typically occur after a sprain or after the ankle is sprained, and consist of constant inflammation or swelling, tenderness, and weakness in the ankle.

Plantar Fasciitis
In the flat flexible foot there is not good medial column support so forcesÂ tend to affect TheÂ inside or medial foot structures like the posterior tibial tendon in and medial shin splints. It is very common to have medial foot pain on the bottom inside of the heel associated with plantar fasciitis. Sometimes patients will ask me why are they are not considered supinating if they wear the outside of the heel of the shoe but the strike on the outside is because they pronate or roll in too much and are compensating with the outside heâ€™ll strike pattern.

Dr. Pearl has an in office surgical suite for patient convenience where he performs surgery. Cases include bunionectomies, hammer toe correction and fracture and tendon repairs. This provides a relaxed, local environment for your procedure. The in office surgical suite can avoid the added expense of having a procedure done at a hospital where the facility fees and anesthesia can be costly.. Other surgeries that he performs in office includes plantar fascial release for heel spurs, removal of bone spurs, removal of soft tissue lesions, and neuromas. For those requiring full anesthesia, he performs procedures at a surgery center that does not require the rigors of hospital admission. He uses pins for most of his surgeries that require fixation which makes removal possible without having to have another operation.
