Kandy Shop is THE absolute best. The establishment is clean and well put together (kudos to the designer), you don't feel uncomfortable while you're there, everyone is real cool n chill.....and hell, they have the best prices in town but never cheap work.....always great results . Helps with making it more accessible for those who, like me, like to express themselves and not charging hundreds to do so. I promote this business to ANYONE that asks about tatts.

It is the best place to go with the affordable prices, great artist, and great staff. Why go to a place that only cares about money when you can go to the Kandy Shop for affordable prices in what you want, not what you can just afford at the time. The Kandy Shop is not your typical shop, it as the atmosphere that for the grown folks. The owner, OG Poppy, is a very experienced artist who goes above and beyond the rest of the so called "artist's" out here. We drive from Plano to Arlington just for Poppy and it is well worth it. Don't take that risk with them other artist, go to the Kandy Shop to get the best.

OMG , Kandy Shop is the most clean shop I've been to and I've been to some pretty "upscale" tattoo shops. The staff is GREAT and they know how to provide world class customer service. And the tattoo and piercing specials that they've come up with are not only creative, but VERY affordable. I would recommend this shop to anyone and it is also a great place for first timers. This is the best place to go! for people new to getting tattoos or the experienced. The shop is clean, professional, and shows so much hospitality you feel like your at home when you walk in the door. I have never seen such an amazing tattoo artist and the art work is incredible! Usually I hate needles but the tattoo artist OG POPPY is very careful while doing his oustanding work! THIS IS THE BEST SHOP TO GO TO HANDS DOWN! WE LOVE THE KANDY SHOP!!!!!!!!!!!

The kandy shop is the worst shop in the dfw area. Its a very over rated shop with fancy advertisement made to look good, but when it comes to the tattoo work doesn't deliver. My first tattoo was a bad experince. it was a simple design with simple yet cute shading . I saw all the advertisement they had in the streets so i decided to try them out . The price was somewhat below what i was expecting . At first the tattoo looked decent but two weeks later i saw how bad they work really was. They scarred my foot and so i went to a local tattoo shop in arlington by the mall and they fixed it like it was brand new . i loved it and i mostly regret not going to them in the beggining . Dont be fooled by them and their prices , I recomend aany other shop besides da (ghetto) kandy shop. If u know what I mean.

They are not professionals and was "tricked" when my tat was done wrong they told me that an aprentice did it that's why it was so cheap!

I'M 62 YRS OLD GOT ONE TATTOO IN '68' LATER THAT YEAR HAD IT REMOVED. MY ANCESTORS CAME FROM SCOTLAND AND I WANTED THE BUCHANAN FAMILY CREST TATTOOED ON MY SHOULDER. THIS WAS A VERY DETAILED PIECE IT HAD TO BE SYMMETRICAL AND A CIRCLE WITH IN A CIRCLE. I WAS INTRODUCED TO JAY A YOUNG BLACK MAN VERY POLITE AND PROFESSIONAL. WE DISCUSSED MY HESITATION AND EXPECTATIONS. I TOLD HIM IF HE WAS TO MEET OR EXCEED MY EXPECTATIONS I WOULD MAKE IT PROFITABLE. HE DID IT, I GAVE HIM A $50 GRATUITY. ONE OF THE TATTOO ARTIST CAME IN HIS BOOTH AND SAID I HAVE TO SEE THIS THE OTHER ARTIST ARE TALKING ABOUT IT. THIS IS THE BUCHANAN CREST WHICH I CAN DISPLAY WITH PRIDE. THE COLORS AND SHADING MAKE IT A REAL PIECE OF ART. ASK FOR "JAY" LET HIM KNOW YOU WANT TO SEE A PHOTO OF THAT TAT AND THE ORIGINAL DRAWING. HE'S A REAL ARTIST TAKE A LOOK AT HIS PORTFOLIO WHILE YOUR THERE..

The Kandy Shop is an awesome place to get a tattoo. First, the environment was very nice. NOT what i expected at a tattoo studio at all, I was comfortable and at ease, tho the music choice is not the best, it is acceptable. The desk girl, Luna, was exceptionally helpful and professional, tho i saw a few people being completely rude. I got tatted by Big Myk, he did me and 3 of my friends. We all got tats in just under 3 and 1/2 hours, and the work was TOP quality, and Big Myk was very professional,(even tho one of the tats was very intimate place wise for one of the girls). I would recommend Big Myk to anyone going to the Kandy Shop.

This is by far one of the best shops in the Dfw area. Great artist with real talent and a good clean enviroment! Og Poppy is the best!

I must admit that since I live near downtown Dallas, I did not want to drive to Arlington for a tattoo (which at the time would have been my 3rd); however, I'd heard GREAT things about them. So I called and set up an appt, I wanted star trails and I was out in about an hour! Plus, the stars look amazing (this was July 2010). So in January (2011), I went back to have my star trail extended across my back to my upper hip..another flawless job! BTW, I went on a saturday, and only paid $20, for each tattoo...I'm so pleased I recommend them to everyone! Their service is wonderful and they made me feel so comfortable..! I guess when you've paid $75 for a 1/2 tattoo, and then only pay $20 for a star trail that is alot more beautiful, it wins you over. lol...I will definitely be going back!

People rate 5 stars because they got cheap (bad) tattoos. Dont be fooled by people who dont know they can get a better tattoo from a real artist. GOOD tattoos are not cheap, and cheap tattoos are not good. Its a old saying but it applies to this shop. Do not let this ghetto shop bring you in with ghetto prices. Save your money and go to a real tattoo shop, there are plenty in Arlington alone!

This tattoo shop is great! It's clean, nice atmosphere, and has no minimum on tattoo prices. I've gotten two tattoos there and only spent $30! One is a very large name tattoo on my neck that is beautiful. It was done by Jay. The other is a simple Dallas Cowboys star on my hand. I got it for $10 on a star Tuesday. I strongly recommend this place to anyone!

*My 2nd tattoo and I was very happy with my tattoo and the service and price was great. Poppy was very professional yet friendly and fast. Will go back for another tattoo.
