Danny Boy's Auto Repair

They saved my life! I have been using another local mechanic for years and recently had suspension work done. I was trying to get my rear drums done, but they would never call me back to schedule a time. So my manager at work heard good things about Danny Boy's, so I decided to give them a try since my rear brakes were shot now and the 'other guy' would not get back with me.

So I get there and spoke with one of their mechanics, Rafael. I had asked about a rubbing sound from the front when I go over dips in the road. I has asked the 'other guy' about it after he installed my struts, since it only started after he replaced them. He had asked, "What exactly do you want me to do about it?" I told him to fix it, since it started immediately after he replaced the struts. He said it's rubbing on the wheel well and there was nothing he could do.

Back to Rafael... So I asked him to look at it since it was on the lift already. We saw where the wheel was rubbing and he suggested using a heat gun to move the plastic up out of the way (which I did and worked perfectly). He also secured the other plastic guards underneath that were hanging down. But while he was looking around and I had mentioned about having the struts just put on, he noticed something ominous. The 'other guy' didn't even put any of the cotter pins in! The chances are remote of anything serious happening, but the fact that the 'other guy' didn't even bother to take that extra safety step troubles me. There were a few other safety concerns that the 'other guy' overlooked that Rafael caught. It's the attention to even the smallest details that really impressed me. He secured the plastic guards and put the cotter pins in, all without charging any extra! That is what I call service!

Sure, they were a little more than the 'other guy', but you can't put a price on your safety/life. You get what you pay for... and with Danny Boy's, it's worth every penny!

As for the 'other guy'? I won't be returning.
