Located in Amityville, N.Y., Sisters of St. Dominic is one of the members of the Dominican Congregation of the Holy Cross, and are holy preachers. It has more than 650 women religious who ministers in various locations, including Puerto Rico, Colombia and the Dominican Republic. Established in 1857, Sisters of St. Dominic, a small missionary band of sisters is a branch of Dominicans in the United States. It has various departments and ministries, including a central council, ministry of development, youth, and peace and justice that show concern on various issues, such as trafficking of person, genetically-engineered food and Israel-Palestine issue. Sisters of St. Dominic has various sponsored ministries, including St Agnes Academic High School, Siena Spirituality Center and Dominican Village Congregate Senior Housing. Its youth ministry provides spiritual nourishment and education for youths. The youth ministry organizes various activities, including conferences and workshops. Additionally, Sisters of St. Dominic provides online prayer preaching facilities.
