Share Medical Center

My 85 yr old mom has been in ER and the hospital 3 times the last year. All the staff and again I am telling u all the staff has treated my mom and myself with great care and respect.
My mom was in the Homestead facility for 8 yrs. My Family can not tell u how wonderful mom's experience was there. Never during her 8 yrs did a question the quality of life my mom had.
3 months ago mom went into Share Nursing Home. Needless to say that is a very difficult time in my mom's life (who wants to be there). My mom has improved to where she happy and content with her surroundings. What more can a family member ask. The people of Alva should be proud of the level of care that they can receive under the Share umbrella

I went to Share Medical for possibly breaking my knuckles. Someone was going into the ER before so I figured I'd get into the Urget Care faster. No one was in the waiting room and I could tell my the bored looking receptionist that no one or nothing was going on. I waited 45 minutes in the waiting room before being taken back. Waited another 30 minutes for a nurse to come back and take my vitals. 45 minutes until a doctor came back to see me and then I was taken to get an x-Ray. Waited another 30 minutes for it to be read and the a doctor came into diagnosis me and give me care instructions. I went in at 5:21pm and left at 8:30 - I have phone logs from me talking to my mother so I know I'm not being dramatic about wait times! The doctor said my hand was not broken but the radiologist would reveiw it and call me the next morning. Never received a phone call, I understand people getting busy but I'm a big believer if you say you'll do something then do. Especially when it comes to someone's well being. I just received an invoice for $122. I have very very good insurance and have never had to pay anything more than a deductible in an instance such as this. It doesn't even show why I owe or where the $122 is charged from. I have heard people complain about Share Medical and I just figured it was small town gossip. Now I know if I have ever have a problem...even if I'm on my death bed, I will risk it and drive somewhere else.

On sundaysopeny open at 12. I arrived at 12:20 and checked in. They said it would be an hour and that was hour. I waited aandour and a half in the waiting room and 2 and a half hours in the doctors office. By the time it was said and done it had been 4 hrs of waiting. With only 14 people to be seen before me. Didnt see a doctor and the staff was rude. If there was a negative rating it would be -3.
