Ultrasound

He completed his medical school at University of Delhi, India in 1989. He completed a residency in General Surgery from the University of Delhi in 1993. He then moved to New York, and started his surgical training at Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan. He completed his General Surgery residency in 1998. He is Board certified in General Surgery and is a Member of the American College of Surgeons. He also trained in vascular surgery for two years at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida.

Dr. Arun Chowla is a board certified surgeon, and one of the most experienced vein surgeons in Northern Virginia. He completed his residency in vascular surgery (treatment of blood vessels) at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, considered among the world’s top medical institutions. He received additional training in Endovascular techniques including Minimally Invasive therapies for Varicose Veins at the Arizona Heart Institute in Phoenix, Arizona. In the last 18 years Dr. Chowla has successfully performed thousands of operations, focusing on issues related to blood vessels, especially veins.

Plastic Surgeons

Breast Surgery
Dr Chowla is experienced in all aspects of general laparoscopic and vascular surgery. He performs laparoscopic gallbladder, appendix and colon surgeries, hernia repairs, breast surgery, oncologic and endocrine surgery. He also performs the complete spectrum of vascular surgery.

Ulcer
In many cases, if a varicose vein is diagnosed and considered a cause for the venous ulcer, treating the varicose vein with endovenous laser ablation will help redirect the blood flow, relieve the venous congestion, and improve the leg ulcer.
Lesions
Depending upon the technician’s proficiency and the size of the area, treatments can range from about a minute for minor lesions on the nose, and up to 20–25 minutes for a more extensive condition covering much of the face or legs.
