Summit Security, Investigation and Self Defense

Austin Self Defense should only look to Robb Hamic for the best training money can buy. Robb is a great trainer, patient and he really delivers what he promises. I can't believe that an instructor of his caliber is available to me for private lessons. His company Summit Self Defense is as good as it gets.

I have trained with him several times on self defense and concealed handgun. i will continue my training because it works for me and it is making me safer. I am excited to try his Personal Defense Readiness (PDR) course.

Not sure how these other people got such great service and I have not. Very unprofessional staff. They sit in the parking lot with their hats turned backwards and play music loud from their cars. I am beginning to question their hiring practice. Plus, I don't think Robb has any legitimate training qualifications.

I had a referral to Robb Hamic and Summit Investigation. I was told they were the best and it was true. i had a hard case that was sensitive in nature. It required surveillance, reporting and communication with my attorney. Summit and Robb were professional, on-time and billed me appropriately. They communicated well. I have a hard time believing that any other investigators are still in business with such a professional firm providing quality services in such a small town. I am happy not to be living in Albuquerque but i am glad to have found Summit.

Their supervisors are easy to get ahold of and their guards are always on time. If someone is sick, they have a person to cover the post immediately. They don't offer excuses and they bill me correctly. They check with me weekly and sit down with me monthly. Their officers are well trained and always look good in their new uniforms. I haven't always had the same guard but they are all good.

I recently took a Israeli Combat Shooting course with Mr. Hamic of Summit Security & Investigation and Summit Self Defense. I’ve carried a weapon for a living before and thought there was no way I would abandon the techniques I’ve been taught since day one.



When I first started using this program which is different than anything I’ve seen in American Law Enforcement. I honestly did not like it. I wasn’t used to drawing the weapon, racking the slide to load a round, and then firing without aiming (with the sights). About 30 rounds in to it and it hit me, this is good training.



We’ve all seen the movies where a Police officer is calm with his weapon pointed at someone, one eye closed aiming at the suspect and fires off two perfectly placed rounds.



Every “shooting caught on tape” paints an entirely different picture. Usually the officer screams something either a command or in to his radio, draws his weapon and starts shooting and running at the same time. Most of the time the firearm is nowhere near his eyes and he definitely does NOT have one eye closed.



There is extreme stress in a shooting and Hamic does a good job of making you feel some of that stress, and making you understand that if you are ever involved in a deadly force shooting you will NOT be calm, the weather will NOT be perfect, you may have to shoot with one hand, both eyes open, palms sweating, shaking, heart pumping, etc.



I’ve taken several courses and have had the instructors that hold your hand and tell you to take your time, breathe, slowly squeeze the trigger. Hamic instructs you and isn’t rude or mean and won’t yell at you but he lets you know if you’re doing something wrong and brings some reality to the training.



Hamic has always told me to “Train how you fight, fight how you train”. I think that is the best way to describe this course, a reality based instruction course for those who are serious about their ability to confidently carry and use a firearm if necessary. I recommend this training to all Law Enforcement, Military, Security and Civilians who want a fighting chance at winning a lethal encounter.

I hired this company to do sensitive surveillance. they got me results fast and with little notice from me. They were undetected. Real pros. I would recommend their service to anyone.

We have used this company to provide our hotel security for the last 2 1/2 years. We have enjoyed doing business with Robb Hamic and his firm. His supervisors are excellent and the guards are state licensed and professional. Billing is correct and the jobs are done right the first time.



People have a lot of choices for security and there are a lot of companies out there who say that they can do the job. Summit Security was the first one we have ever found that stands behind its word, works with us and does their job with a high degree of professionalism. We have given Robb countless referrals for more hotels and he has also handled a lot of temporary business for us.



Summit's prices are a little higher than some of the bids that we have gotten but is is definitely worth it to pay a little more to get the service that they provide. There are no surprises with Summit Security. Our Albuquerque hotel has been so happy we are considering using there services in other states because of our satisfaction.

Robb Hamic runs the New Mexico Security Blog and exposes all of the bad things about Albuquerque Security so everyone can see. He is doing the public a good service. He helped me find information about a company, who's supervisor beat up my Nephew at The Lakes Apartments in Albuquerque. It turns out that this company, United Security, had done a lot of bad stuff and it was all on Mr. Hamic's bolg. I gave all of this evidence to my Nephew's attorney and it is being used in the lawsuit against this company and its owners. My Nephew got his jaw broke and teeth knocked out while he was tackled and in hand cuffs.



It seems to me that Mr. Hamic seems to be the only person standing up against these crooks to do the right thing. Way to go!
