Overall

I took our two Huskies in today to get groomed! So here are my thoughts:

Cons:

I wish more hair had been cut from the hindquarters area on one of the dogs. But it could just seem like a lot right now because she is so fluffy!

Pros:

Told me it could take up to 5 hours for both dogs, but they finished in 2.5 hours!

Both dogs look amazing! So soft and they smell great.

I explained that both dogs were rescues, and one was abused before they took him away from his previous owner. I told them that they both get anxious, and they were very receptive and listened to my concerns, and were so sweet to our babies!

I left treats for them, and they definitely gave them some for me :)

Both dogs looked so happy!! And that is what really matters.



Thank you so much! Will definitely be back again.

Wonderful people, wonderful grooming job! They were so sweet to my dog, she was pampered by a day at the spa and it was so handy being able to have her there for the day while I ran some errands.

Don't go Here!

Service is going down hill!

Took them 6 hours to groom my dog. Brought her home with severe razor burns, red bumps, and they nicked my pets area where she urinates! Will never go back!

Also, tried calling business to check on status of my dog while being groomed, they never answer the phone, always goes to voicemail. No one ever calls back. Left messages to report service, Owner never called back, Emailed owner to complain, she never emailed back. Bad Bad Service! Filed with BBB!!!

First and foremost, please note all of the below 5 star reviews left by Marilyn H. are from the owner of Pretty Pets, Marilyn Haldane. That's pretty telling right there.



Wow, what an absolutely horrible experience. Dropped our two dogs off at noon, they were promised to be ready by three. Called at 3:30, and was told they would be ready by 5pm. Call at 5:15 and no answer. I drive over there and one of my dogs is still in the cage and has not been started yet. The other one had just barely started the bath. She then tells me that she can't tell me when they'll be done, but she'll call me when they are. I leave after telling her I'm very displeased with the service, to which she says there is not much she can do because her employees are slower than they should be, huh? I come to my senses and return to the store about 15 minutes later, both dogs still in the same condition. I tell her that I want my dogs and a refund (I pre-paid over the phone with a cc) and she then begins to yell at me about there is no way I'm getting a refund since the dogs were both started. Needless to say, about 10 minutes later I leave with ungroomed dogs and no refund.

Worst grooming experience ever...

Worst grooming experience ever! The owner has a lot to learn about customer service. When the initial appt. was made she forgot to get my contact info so the groomer had no idea where to go. Thank goodness I called to find out where she was. Then she shows up over an hour after she says she's on her way, and shows up reeking like cigarettes. She was nice so I let it go but really? Did a TERRIBLE job cutting my dogs. They were uneven everywhere, she didn't even trim the paws on one of my dogs at all. I brought it to her attention and she had some stupid excuse which only led me to believe she wasn't comfortable doing it so I let it go, not willing to risk her hurting my dog. I contacted the owner the next day and she scheduled to come out to fix them in a few days. Then SHE shows up over an hour late. When I confront her about it she tells me that she has an hour window from the time scheduled which she failed to mention when she booked the appt. or on the Email confirmation she sent. I found that to be ironic since she only allowed the first groomer a 30 minute window, and they were both still late without even calling! I told her I just wanted a refund and was no longer interested in my dogs being done. She stated that her time frame was on the web site along with a no refund policy. Which would've been fine had I not booked over the phone. She allowed me to come in to the van with her to groom the dogs. She agreed the work was bad and had to re-cut them all over again. She stated that in order to make them more even she would've washed and fluffed them first (two are poodles) but didn't do it since apparently "fixing" does not mean completely. the paws still should have been cut shorter as I had made clear to both of them the curly hair mats up and yeast develops. She blended their bodies a little better but there were some things that apparently couldn't be fixed. Then she has the audacity to attempt a passive aggressive remark, however poor it was, on my knowledge with cutting curly hair. As if to imply I had no idea how challenging it was, which unbeknown to her I actually did because I've been cutting it on people for over ten years. I had already lost my entire last day in town to her and didn't feel I should have to state the obvious on how to do her job. So she apparently felt she did the best she knew how but fell very short on what a professional dog groom should actually look like. And on top of it all they both missed that one of my dogs was having a severe allergic reaction to bites from stick fleas which we found the next day. Our vet said he could not believe it was overlooked and no groomer he ever worked with would have missed it. I have been in the customer service industry for over ten years with clients from all over the world and would NEVER be this unprofessional or unethical. I don't know how she is still in business and can only assume its by preying on dog owners naivety. I strongly recommend to anyone looking go anywhere else but here.
