Overall
We just moved to Albuquerque, ...

We just moved to Albuquerque, and there are a lot of choices here for a salon and a stylist. Kirron Salon was not the first place I called; but they were the most friendly, helpful, and knowlegable on the phone. I'd been bottle-dying my hair for the last nine months because the tiny place we were stationed only had one stylist, and she was stuck in the 80s style wise (and not emerging into 2011 anytime soon). I'm getting married in two months, so I was pretty nervous about allowing a new stranger access to my hair. It wasn't looking great, but it wasnt looking bad...when I called Kirron Salon, the person who answered the phone listened to me rant and offered to look at my hair and give me a few ideas before booking an appointment or doing anything to it. After that, I definitely booked an appointment.

The salon is beautifully decorated, relaxing and modern, but it’s not trying so hard to look cutting edge that you feel uncomfortable. The stylists all seemed friendly and well spoken, something I really appreciate in a salon because so often you feel ignored in a new salon. It wasn’t that way ta Kirron Salon at all.

They were flexible in scheduling, their prices are very reasonable, and the results were above and beyond what I paid. I like to bleach my hair pretty blonde and it’s always crispy after; my stylist made the extra effort to moisturize every foil of hi-lights before putting the color on it to keep my hair from damage. She listened very carefully to what I asked for color wise, and what I wanted for my bangs (I’m really particular) and she made sure she asked questions to be sure I got exactly what I wanted.

Bottom line? My hair looks fantastic, feels great, and I’m not broke. I feel really beautiful after visiting Kirron Salon. I asked for a bunch of cards when I left, because I want to recommend them to all my friends. Great business, great service, great results!

GREAT!!!!!!!

The salon is beautiful and the staff was extremely professional. My stylist is one of the best in the state in my opinion. She ranks up there with the top sylists in other cities that I have visited. GOOD JOB MELISSA! your the best!!!

Overall
what a great salon

I would like to tell everyone what a wonderful experience I had a Kirron Salon! The Salon was beautiful and very inviting, and the stylists as well as the clients were very friendly and accommodating. The stylist that did my hair was polite and knew exactly what I needed and what would look good on me, she gave me one of the best haircuts and highligts I have ever had. I will definitely be making another appointment!

Overall
Beautiful but rude

The inside of the salon was really nice. It was beautifully decorated and looks like a professional salon, however, the service I received did not match the decor. I was given a gift certificate to this salon that has several services listed that I would receive with this gift certificate. Each service is seperated into 4 different visits. The first visit is to include: Introduction to the salon, hair consultation, scalp massage, deep conditioning, shampoo, conditioner and cut, style, color consultation, complimentary beverage. I was hardly spoken to the entire time of my hair cut, If I did receive a "scalp massage" I wouldn't of known it since I was hardly spoken to. I tried starting up conversation and was given super short answers. Seemed like I was a burden more than a client. My hair is super long and that may have been the reason the lady was so rude, maybe she felt it was going to take to much of her time to deal with, but It doesnt say anything on the gift card about any extra charge for long hair. I felt so uncomfortable I told the "stylist" she did not have to dry my hair, I just wanted to get out of there. I did happen to ask her how much she normally charges for a "cut" she mentioned that on my hair it would be $50 for a cut! I would never go back there to this kind of treatment if they did it for $5. She finally showed some kind of personality when I told her she didnt have to dry it. Also, I was never " introduced" to the salon as they advertise in the gift card. I was never offered a beverage, never given a "hair consultation". This gift card was a special promotion they were offering that was paired the the massage place next door that incudes a manicure, massage, hand massage and facial, but I will not be going back! The "stylist" mentioned that they did the special promotion to "promote the salon", well I'm sorry but they can promote all they want but with that kind of treatment, they are not going to keep any good clients! If the "stlyist" knew anything about marketing she would know that word of mouth is the best kind of business and we will pay any amount of money for good quality service, but she will not be receiving any good word of mouth from me! I will be fair and mention that she did a decent job on my hair, I left with it wet by choice but as far as I can tell, it is decent. Nothing special I will add, long layers, something any beauty school graduate should be able to do. I will definatly be sticking to my $20 hair cut from my current stylist.
