Several visits in the past wer...

Several visits in the past were ok; however my last visit ruined it for me.
I was given a quote for a rather expensive repair (That I knew to be a legitimate repair).

Due to the fact that only days before, I had KAMS perform another expensive repair, I explained to them my concern of the mounting cost. The mechanic told me he would contact the owner and see what he could do for me.

I was informed that I would receive a $50 dollar credit if I followed through with repairs. It wasn’t much but I went ahead and had them do the repair.

After I paid my bill, I realized that, not only was I not given my promised $50 credit, the bill was $50 higher than their WRITTEN ESTIMATE. (Total $100 more than it should have been.)

When I contacted them, I was told that I would be given the $50 credit but that the repair cost was FINAL.
The reason they charged me an UPDATED price was supposedly due to an earlier repair that had been done to my radiator which was somewhat of a Patch Job that I had performed myself.
KAMS had seen this and insisted that my radiator needed replacing as well. I was rather shocked that they were as insistent as they were because this repair has been in place for about two years and is STILL working fine!
I finally had to abruptly affirm to them NO! My radiator did not need replacing. They clearly didn’t take this very well.

My point is this. Spotting this Problem with my radiator cost them no additional time or effort (Other than a glancing look).

The fact that they had insisted on replacing a part that was working fine coupled with the fact that they DID NOT STICK TO THEIR WRITTEN ESTIMATE sealed the deal as for this being my last visit to KAMS.

In a word Dishonest!

Had a transmission issue was told first 1400. But received bill for over 1700. Never called once to say that there were more issues and did I want to authorize the additional cost.

My last visit to KAMS was great. The service of my vehicle was excellent and the KAM Associates were exceptionally kind and professional.

Always Happy!

I have used KAMS for many years and have always been happy with the service and feel that I can trust them to be fair with the cost. They know their business and treat a customer right. I am surprised by the bad reviews and feel that there must be another side to the story.

Kams is Horrible!!

I took my car to Kams because I had a problem with my air. They said it would be 1700 dollars which we decided to pay so we can get our car fixed. When we got it back it was barely blowing air and it was blowing out just hot air. Due to the fact that we paid so much we took it back and told them they needed to fix it because we didnt pay that much for it not to work. The mechanic comes out and smarts off by saying "its cold to me." After that it just went down hill. Two hours later they called and told us they broke the compressor and a valve and that we would need to pay or it to be fixed (even though THEY broke it).. Not only did we recieve horrible service they also were the rudest people I have ever met. I would never recommend taking my car to them all you are to them is money!
