Town of Abington

My husband and son went to the police dept. today to ask for assisstance. Auto country stole $100. deposit from my son and would not return or deliver vehicle. The police officer said it was a civil matter..disagree..if we had taken money from the auto dealer it would be theft. Why is it ok for a ued car dealer in your town to steale a 19 year old kids money? My Dad was a police officer in Rockland all of my life..retired after 25 years. I always thought police were for protection of citizens..not scam artists..a very sad day. Michael Faegan was trying to start a confrontation..asked my husband if he had been drinking!! With out two sons standing there..puffed his chest out at them and refused to return money...It's a sad day for Abington when you protect the thief. I hope not all of Abington works this way.
