I have been going to this restaurant for one year. and the service has always been very bad, but the food was good so we put up with the BAD SERVICE. But today 08/25/09 I took my family there for lunch ( this is the only time you can afford it is very expensive at other times) And as we were walking out to our car after lunch My 4 year old , my vegitarian mother & I say a women in a red apron (like the ones the kitchen staff wear) killing 3 chickens right in full veiw of anyone walking into or out of the restaurant. I am very aware of were meat comes from & that is dead aniamals but the noise that those chickens made & the sight of the jumping around after she broke there necks will haunt me forever and I'm sure my 4 year old & mother also. I believe now after my mother trying to get me to be a vegitarian for a about 15 years I will finally be able to do this.

My husband and I are frequent visitors of Piccola's. With a maiden name of Caruso, I'm hard to please when it comes to Italian food. So believe me when I tell you that Piccola's is as close to Grandma's Italian cooking as it can get and Grandma was a wonderful cook I mean it. Very down home atmosphere and friendly service. If your not in the mood for a full meal their pizza is the best. Now that, is coming from a NYC girl..so that's saying a mouthful. I strongly suggest that you try Piccola Italia. I am positive that you will be visiting it on a regular basis. It may even become habit forming. If I had to make one suggestion, it would be that they toast their garlic bread on both sides making it a little more crunchy...but then that's the way I like it maybe not theirs or yours for that matter. Try it ! You'll like it!
