Quality Auto Repairs

I took my car to Quality Auto with a previously diagnosed problem for which I was quoted $250. Since my dad (who was out of state) is an auto mechanic by trade, I walked in knowing that my car problem was a one hour job to replace a an $80 part. After two days of not hearing from the shop, I decided to call. I was told that the price had gone up to $575 for the same job. The explanation I received from the manager was that the job was much more difficult than he realized. He also tried to tell me I had told him something else was wrong with my car, which is not true in the least.

Knowing that I had stepped into the wrong business, I decided to take my car to another shop. When I arrived to pick up my car, the owner took 15 minutes to charge me $65 for a diagnosis that he did not do. Furthermore, he had my car running the entire time he made me wait, knowing full well, that because of the car's problem, it would cause an engine overheat. If that's not malicious, what is? If you are a woman, and you don't want to get taken advantage of, stay away from this place.
