Slumberland Furniture

Came in to buy a king size bed frame but went home and set it up and it was queen. Then we had to drive back across town to exchange and the set the bed frame up again and had no foot board connection. I called then they told me to call customer service. I asked for a refund and the general manager said I'll get a full refund which was 178.44 but got a refund of 128.44. Do no go to slumber land their furniture is over priced and made of particle board! Poor customer service. They don't care about resolving an issue. They rip you off! They smile in your face to sell. I see why no one is ever in the parking lot!

I bought two coffee tables from them and they were both banged up and scratched. (Note: Do not assemble until you check everything for scratches.) One table had to be replaced twice and the other one had to be replaced three times. The management seemed indifferent and blamed the warehouse workers. My couch and love seat are falling apart after a year and they were extremely overpriced. Save yourself all of the time it will take to finally get it right.

My family and I visited the west Wichita, KS store on Saturday March 15th. We were greeted by a salesman named Jim when we entered the store and he seemed very friendly. We informed him that we knew exactly what we were looking for, the La-Z-Boy James collection sofa and love seat. We had previously seen them in the store 2 months prior, but did not purchase at the time. I informed Jim that I seen that Nebraska Furniture had the same sofa and loveseat for a cheaper price and asked if Slumberland would price match. We would prefer to purchase from Slumberland because our entire house is furnished with furniture from Slumberlands. Jim talked to his manager and his manager okayed the price match. I was very excited that we would be purchasing our new furniture! Then I noticed on the Nebraska Furniture website, they were offering an additional percentage off depending on how much you spend. I then asked Jim if this would be something that they would also be able to do. He immediately raised his voice and became very defensive and said that Slumberland would not be able to do that. He said that he would be able to do the price match, but not the percentage. He told us that he didn't even know why we could come into the store when we apparently already planned to purchase from Nebraska Furniture. He said that we needed to take our business out of the store and just go to NFM. He was very rude and unprofessional, something I would not tolerate from my employees, as I am a GM in the hospitality industry. He actually may need to have a psycologically evaluation because it seemed as if something just snapped in him. Slumberland Furniture lost our business this weekend, and our business forever. We ended up purchasing the sofa and love seat from Nebraska Furniture at an excellent price (over a $800 savings versus Slumberland) and they also included free delivery and set-up. Take your business anywhere but Slumberland!
