Great for brunch on the weekends. Love the green corn tamales, the Desayuno Fuerte and the pasta and eggs. Service can be a little spotty on occasion and the crowds can be heavy on weekends, but other than that, it's a great neighborhood spot.

Hugo's is my favorite go-to neighborhood restaurant. Admittedly, I have eaten mostly everything on the menu and I have never been disappointed. If you're a first timer, try the turkey burger in a spinach wrap with all the fix-ins. If you're more adventurous (or a vegetarian), try the tikka masala veggie patties. The service can sometimes be ont eh slower side, so leave yourself plenty of time to sit down and have a meal! They're take-out is also a great way to go. If you're going for breakfast, try the almond granola pancakes.

Hugo's has been around. It has survived fires, plumbing issues and remodels and more, but always for the better. Throughout it all they have consistently managed to serve the tastiest and most inventive healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner menu in West Hollwyood. There is almost always a line to get a table on weekends. Try arriving a bit before ten as most of the queens are still zonked out from D&D the night before and you'll most likely get a table right away. Here is what I have to say about the menu. Order ANYTHING, it is all amazing. Anytime of day, all of it, AMAZING. The recent redo of the room has also made it one of the most beautiful places on Santa Monica Blvd. to dine. And they've managed a rare feat, at breakfast and lunch the room seems totally casual but at night it feels somehow upscale. Just with lighting! Anyway, hit Hugo's for a great meal in a splendid environment.
