OVERPRICED BABYSITTING!

If you're looking to pay almost $200 per week for outstanding babysitting, then this is the place for you!

My 5 year old child, who I sent there for 3 weeks in the kindergarten program at the West Chester, OH location, did nothing but color and play. In fact, an average of 8 pages of coloring was sent home daily without any writing assignments showing me what my son had 'learned' (or any assignments involving academics for that matter). He can now color in between the lines….that’s fantastic. Meanwhile, he had ONE page in his journal that consisted of 2 pictures and two words that he wrote in 3 weeks for 8 hours a day. Also, the daily reports with check marks indicating what my son 'learned' throughout the day were checked. Meanwhile, when following up with my 5 year old, he assured me that he PLAYED a lot and did NOT participate in any of them (except circle time) nor did he know what I was talking about when asked. Meanwhile, during that 3 week period, I walked in on different occasions (during different hours to see what was going on) only to find him coloring or playing with play-doh. On one occasion, he was being educated by the computer--not the teacher. To top it off, there were only 4 kids in the class and two teachers. Perfect time for one on one....so you would think? However, this facility does not have teachers; they have 'upstanding' babysitters. Furthermore, the owners who are there at all times, are well aware and condone this. Which is even more appalling to me.

In fact, when addressing my concerns, they tried to assure me that their 'education' was above the standard and that they were exceeding the kindergarten curriculum. Clearly, that isn't the case.

Despite the West Chester Goddard living off the Goddard's reputation--rather then upholding it--the one in Fairfield, Ohio is phenomenal! Please keep in mind that NOT ALL the Goddards are like this. Just this one in the area.
