As the owner I am responding to the heather Review:

As a small family-owned business, PLEASE READ THE TRUTH!!!

To make this response as short as possible; this customer could never make a decision, this customer blamed us for everything, we would redo thing multiple times in an attempt to appease this customer, things that were great the day before were massive issues the next. We made every effort to make this customer happy, spending more than we ever collected on this job.

When we finally complete the inexhaustible punchout list, as this customer agreed upon, we requested our final payment. This is when the customer stopped all communication. After multiple attempts to try to collect the money, we finally received an email stating she was referring us the Maryland Home Improvement Commission. During the process of their investigation it became clear to the commission and the customer we had completed everything properly and that this customer did not have a legitimate complaint. We have always held a license! We have always held proper insurance! We had completed all the requirements of the contract! And We completed everything to above workmanlike and industry standard!

This wasn’t enough for the customer, she then hired an attorney and filed a lawsuit against us. As we knew we were in the right we countersued and finally, after all this wasted time and money we found Justice!!!

The Judge was so in our favor he stated, “having seen the work at issue first-hand, this Court’s reaction that it was “beautiful” is entirely consistent”. Furthermore, the Judge found “this Court finds the Defendant [We Do Kitchens] bent over backward to satisfy the Plaintiffs [The Customer who wrote this complaint]” Regarding this reviewer claim that we are crooks “This Court finds that Mrs. Merkelson’s published assertion that the Defendants [We Do Kitchens] were “crooks” was false and defamatory.” The Judge believed that is was so defamatory we were awarded a $5,000 for our defamation case.

Also, regarding the claim “They also did this to one of our neighbors,” the neighbor testified in court, she was extremely happy with her kitchen and these statements by Mrs. Merskleson were false.

I encourage you to judge us on this verified record, not the random post of a person with an alternative motive, other than truthful reviews.

We have just completed a 6 month project with We Do Kitchens and cannot express enough our satisfaction with the final result! Our project was a complete kitchen/dining room renovation that included removing 8 tons of brick from the old kitchen, steel I-beams, wall removal, and any number of other hidden surprises in our 168 year old home. We selected their brand of cabinetry and also worked hand in hand with all of the sub vendors to pick our appliances, flooring, counters, lighting etc... The project was at times frustrating (tell me the last time you had a guest in your house for 6 months and it didn't occasionally get frustrating) but the responsiveness and genuine desire to provide us a fantastic result helped insure we worked through those times. The pictures will speak volumes, but let me say that the quality of the work is first class, the attention to detail was superb, and the willingness to get things right insures we will always come back to them for future projects. We now have the fantastic family space that is better than we envisioned. Thank you to all involved in ensuring this was truly a successful project!! We would have no hesitation in recommending you for projects large and small to our friends and neighbors (really anyone that asked about our project!). Thanks again for everything!!

Paid We Do Kitchens $30,000. for a kitchen remodel. Disaster! Broken and damaged cabinets, uneven countertops, sink with hole in it, back splash tile doesn't match in color or pattern, kitchen sink held up with a closet rod, no ventilation system, no permits pulled and they were not licensed or insured when the work was performed for us. A stste inspector has deemed our kitchen structurely unsound. They also did the same thing to our neighbors one street over. They are terrible crooks, please beware!
