Great local favorite. The crab soup is excellent. The Dewey Bunsburger is a great deal. AND who has resist popping a balloon for the price of a custom-ordered (any ice cream, any topping) banana split?!? The service is always great.

cute little cafe in town

Have lived in this town all my life and the Velvet has always been a local favorite. Tasty ice cream treats, where the milkshake comes out with the remainder of the freezing cold metal cup from the shake machine filled halfway with the rest of your treat. Food is not exceptional but standard for diners and cafes. Waitresses will most likely call you "hun."
