At The Beach Tanning Superstore

At the Beach is a horrible company. I signed a three year contract with consent that I could cancel anytime. I was paying almost $70 a month for tanning and just ladies fitness. My bank card expired and even though they directly took the money out of my account they claimed that I didn't have the money in my account, total bs. They sent me to collections charged me late fees and charged me for 3 months. I called to get the matter resolved and was yelled at the whole time. They finally took off the charges and I paid the 2 months I owed. She told me to go to the store and update my card info. I did as she suggested and went in again two months before the card was to expire (my bank card expires every year) and had them change the info so we wouldn't have the same problem. Well wouldn't you know, a few months later I get a call from ATB collections saying I hadn't paid my bill and I owed almost $400. I couldn't believe it was happening again. I stormed into the store with my signed paper work demanding to know what thet had not updated my info in their system. They had no record of me even coming into the store. I made them call while I was standing there and confess it was their fault. I got all charges dropped and asked to be let out of my contract. They said I could but I still owed them $1200 that I could pay up front and they would cancel it. I refused to and left asking exactly how much time I had left so I could stop them from auto renewal. I went in two months before my contract was to be up and made sure they knew it was over.

The girl told me the exact date it would be done so I decided to come back on that date and make sure it was done. The guy in the store told me my contract had been up for 3 weeks. More lies I had been told.

This company will lie and cheat to steal your money. Go somewhere else and pay for single sessions. You may pay more but you will save so much money in the long run! Don't ever do business with them, EVER!

All I can say is make sure you know what you're getting into before you even step foot into this place. Make sure you read up on all you can on the rip-off report website. Trust me.

the fact they have young girls in there trying to tell you to sign a release then they want bank information and all i wanted was a tan

I enjoy this place but I believe the staff needs to be a little more attentive to their existing customers. We should not have to wait such a long time for a tanning bed when they are going over their spill to new prospective customers. There have been times where I have waited even when my bed was available because they "forgot" I was there and were talking among themselves.
