        In 1955, we started in a one-room barrack at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base with the mission to help Tucsonâ??s airmen and their families. Back then, known as DMAFB Federal Credit Union we served a little under 600 Members and had less than $60,000 in assets. By the end of the '60s, we had grown to nearly 14 thousand Members, sowing the seeds for the rapid growth we would see in future decades. Vantage West got its current name in August of 2006, when we converted from a federal to a state charter. In 2010 and again in 2014, Vantage West expanded by merging with First Edition Community CU and Tombstone Federal CU. Despite explosive growth, Vantage West has retained its core mission of investing in our surrounding communities.

        I was extremely pleased with the outstanding service and support I was given while opening my new account with Vantage West on Speedway and Wilmot. Each associate was very genuine in their individual ”greeting” while maintaining a Professional and knowledgeable banking establishment that I’m confident in investing in. I highly recommend Vantage West Credit Union, and commend them for their exemplary service.

        Due to the guy, Shawn, at the ...

        Due to the guy, Shawn, at the front desk of VW on Speedway and Wilmot, I will be changing banks. He is rude, degrading and condescending to customers. I would love to by-pass him but he's on such an ego trip he makes you jump through hoops before you can get them done. Even if you have an appointment with someone else, he will make your life miserable because he thinks he can get away with it. I have yet to understand why Shawn is behind that desk! He is anything but helpful.
