Hand Surgery
He performed his general surgical internship and residency at the Phoenix Integrated Surgical Residency program. He then completed his plastic surgery residency at the University of Rochester's Strong Memorial Hospital in New York. Dr. Hess also spent six months to further study microsurgery and facial reconstruction at Roswell Park Memorial Institute in Buffalo, New York. His special interests throughout his training have been in cosmetic and hand surgery. He has also had special training in the use of lasers.

Practice Manager Colee has been working in medical management since 1996. She began her career in Neurosurgery as an Administrative Assistant. She then moved to the field of Women's Health where she spent fifteen years as the Practice Manager for two well known and very busy practices. Colee has traveled extensively and also lived in Germany for a year. She has attended the University of Arizona.

Physical Therapy
Dr. Hess replaced two joints in my fingers 10 weeks ago. I have had osteoarthritis since I was 39 and my fingers over the years have become bent and extremely painful. Another doctor said all he could do is fuse them but when I checked with Dr. Hess, he said he could replace the joints with silicone joints. I am so glad to say that the pain is gone in those fingers. They are still stiff but after 10 weeks of physical therapy, I have full use of my fingers and am ready to sign up for two more fingers on my other hand. Dr. Hess has been amazing through this entire procedure. I didn’t even know this was possible and am so glad that I continued looking and asking questions.
