Service

I travel way across town to go to Green things. The outdoor plants are acclimated to Tucson. The houseplants are the best selection I have seen. The staff is great with knowledgable advice. All plants always in good health.

I've shopped there over 40 years. Still my favorite place to find rare plants that other places offer to special order, but never get. Still the best prices in town and a nice place to just visit and take out of towners. I'm so glad they're still around. They even have plants that my mom had on her windowsill 43 years ago! Go and enjoy.

Fun and fabulous

It is worth the drive wherever you live. From the beautiful healthy plants that are there, to the atmosphere, not to mention trees and animals, I just love visiting and shopping. I have a live bonsai or two that I got there and when I called the owner this morning she told me exactly what to do for this extended hot weather. Yes, it is worth the 20 mile drive for us each way. Phil is also a fountain of knowledge and helpful and nice like the owner. My purple shamrock and purple basil are a reason to go outside whenever I can.

Love this nursery, from the gruff guy at the counter to their enormous inventory of plants. It is really down to earth, as are their prices. Wonderful shopping experience!

We just found this place today after driving by it for months. Turned into Allen Road off of River Road. It is HUGE. We had no idea. The main greenhouse has so many plants you can't believe it. Succulents, geraniums, houseplants, and lots of other plants I've never seen before. They have all sorts of shrubs and other plants in the yard for outside planting. So much pottery! I never knew this was here. I'm blown away. You need to visit.

Cactus!

Sweet! I don't have to drive all over town for cactus now. Great stuff. Huge flying saucers in all colors, fenceposts, saguaros, barrels, and lots of little ones. Succulents really unusual. Fun to just browse. Helpful staff, sometimes a little over-talkative, but helpful anyway.

What a change. Not the same place. Super-knowledgeable staff. New shade houses. Tons of annuals, and they have the fancy kind now...Proven Winners?? Still great prices. Everything looked full, lots of color, and really well cared for. Parking still a little dusty, but much better.

Love this place. So many plants I never see anywhere else, and a great selection of pottery. They carry garden art now, too. I thought it was just houseplants, but we went in, they have a lot of new greenhouses, a lot of outdoor plants, vines, trees, and a great selection of cactus. Recommend it. Clean, well kept, lots of knowledgeable help on everything I needed to know.

very low tech establishment.. many improvements should be done, then quality of plants would improve. Pest infestations are prominent in the greenhouses in the back, and mealy bug are prevalent at main greenhouse in front (USE BENEFICIALs!! thats Greenhouse Management 101 info / possibly run by unknowledgeable owner?). Many other growers in town with cleaner products. yes its cheap but you get what you pay for...

Great place. We drove by it so many times on the way home from work. This time we stopped and were amazed. Really, so many plants of all types. The greenhouse with the houseplants is unbelievable. We wandered around for about half an hour. The staff was supposed to close but they let us look around. We had a lot of questions and they were really helpful, and seemed to know a lot about plants. Great cactus. We asked about some trees and they had all the ones we were looking for. We recommend this place if you are looking to do some gardening or get some plants for your house.

They have some awsome trees, plants.

I was looking for some nice shade canopy style trees and decided to stop in here and check to see what they could recomend and I was delighted they had all kinds of beautiful trees and fast growing mesquite, I liked their variety, I'd surely recommend this business to my family friends and all I meet.I'll also be back next spring for trees.

My wife and I wandered into Green Things off the Rillito River Walk near Brandi Fenton Park. We had passed it numerous times, but never gone in. What a surprise! It's so big! So much pottery, so many plants, a huge greenhouse with tropical plants! WOW!! What a treat, right here in the middle of Tucson. It is just miles from our house and we never knew! Pottery from everywhere - talavera, glazed, asian, mexican clay, all sorts of colors, styles, shapes and sizes! And the tropical plants - huge birds of paradise, palms of all types, giant ficus trees. The staff is great and they are friendly and fun! We had a great time touring the greenhouses and trying out the refreshments (champaigne!) on the weekend. Try it!! The prices are great!
