Deep Cleaning
The LANAP approach utilizes light from a laser that specifically targets diseased and infected tissues. The laser penetrates beneath the visible surface and eradicates the underlying bacteria and infection. After the bacteria and diseased tissue have been destroyed, a deep cleaning must take place to remove it from the mouth. Finally, the laser is used to create a clot that allows a protective barrier for the healthy tissue as it heals. The gums are then pressed back against the teeth, without the use of sutures, and allowed to heal and restore the natural attachment.

Dentures
Whilst most commonly recognized as a solution for a single tooth replacement, dental implant techniques are now being used to place implant-supported bridges and implant-supported partial and full dentures. Implant-supported bridges and dentures can usually be supported on less than one post per missing tooth, meaning that less invasive surgery is needed than placing implants one at a time. Oral Surgery

Flap Surgery
One potential surgery is called Flap Surgery. This surgery takes advantage of your recently cleaned gums and teeth and then pulls the gum tissue up further on the tooth to protect the roots. Once the tissue has been pushed back into the proper orientation, it can then be stitched into place to allow it to regrow and naturally attach to the tooth.
Tooth Extractions
Deep sedation allows you to be completely unconscious. This approach is often used during certain types of procedures, such as wisdom teeth extraction. Deep sedation allows dental staff to complete complex procedures without impacting your ability to relax.
Bone Grafting
In order to properly ensure the health and stability of your jaw, Dr. Williams may determine that bone grafting surgery is the best option for your long-term treatment. The procedure involves cleaning out any infected tissue from the gums and bone. Our staff will fold back the gums to remove the bacteria, calculus, and tartar. This helps to reduce the chances of infection following your bone graft.
