Nan was wonderful! We weren't sure what we wanted for our ceremony and Nan worked with us as we put it together. The wedding day arrived and there was problem after problem. Nan's calm professionalism helped greatly. There were guests who cried during the ceremony and we received many compliments from the guests after the ceremony. It was definitely the high point of our wedding night.

Three months later, our wedding guests are still telling us how beautiful, unique and memorable our ceremony was. We just keep hearing, "Most receptions are fun, but what I will remember most about your wedding was the ceremony." My now-husband and I had the hardest time figuring out who would officiate our wedding. We have different religions between and amongst our two families, which made planning the ceremony a daunting task. Finally, Don at the Rusty Pelican recommended Nan as an officiant who could help us make our families feel respected and us feel relaxed, and Nan did those things and more. She provided enough structure to take the stress off but let us customize as much as we wanted to. She spoke with us on the phone multiple times, since we were planning the wedding long distance, and she was so flexible with our rehearsal plans for our large bridal party. We can't recommend her enough!

Nan was very helpful in helping us arrange our wedding ceremony, offering great suggestions and insight. She was very accommodating to us, meeting with us several times prior and also helped us with our vows. She also had a terrific photographer she recommended to us. Thanks Nan!

We were married by Nan on March 30th of this year and she did an GREAT job!! When I was researching Marriage Officiates, there were plenty to pick from. Once I checked out Nan’s website at ceremoniesbynan.com, I was hooked. Nan was great at consulting with us to ensure all of the details were addressed. I was confident that she had it under control but she was patient with us so we felt comfortable that everything would occur just as we wanted (and it did!), She was extremely helpful in providing us samples of other ceremonies that we used to write out own vows, getting ideas from her material and adding our own specifics to make it “our” ceremony. Nan was very good at listening to us and determining exactly what type of ceremony we wanted and then she provided us with many ideas to enhance our ceremony. And it must have worked because we received many compliments after the ceremony about how beautiful yet fun the wedding ceremony was. I’m sure there’s many fine Marriage Officiates out there, but if you select Nan, you’ll be confident in the knowledge that she’s got it 100% under control. Good luck on your special day!

Getting married by Nan was a great experience. If you want to enjoy the day of your wedding and savour every minute of it and you dont want to spend a lot, Nan is what you are looking for. She is professional and funny and she accomodates every need. I'm from Italy and I skyped with my family while the ceremony was taking place. The studio was cozy and clean. Everything was perfect! Just the way we wanted it. Cheap and quick but unforgettable!

Nan was extremely easy to work with. She had plenty of examples to choose from when it came to the style of wedding that we wanted. She knew exactly what to say to calm the groom down before the ceremony started, spoke loud enough for everyone to hear and was extremely nice.

Nan was wonderful, it was the perfect beach wedding for us and we had a great time. We would highly recommend her services.

We live in Illinois and decided to get married in Florida. Finding someone there was hard until we found Nan. We did everything through the phone and emails. She has a wonderful, with a great personality and very nice. She listens to what you what and does or finds it for you. The day of the wedding was perfect and so was she. Nan was great as far as the ease of planning the wedding ceremony. She was quick to return phone calls and answer all our questions. When she arrived for the actual ceremony, however, she was not professionally dressed, but rather like she was headed for the gym. As she is in some of the wedding photo pictures, it was a mismatch to the rest of the wedding party. Also, she was quite abrupt in letting us know at the last minute that she would not come back to the hotel for pictures even though we were 5 minutes away. She took pictures that were not posed and shot randomly with very few taken. Disappointing moment for the wedding party. ):

Nan performed our ceremony. When I contacted her, I asked for suggestions on where we could hold a small ceremony. The first place that recommended was the Colonade on Bay Shore, and she also recommended Bern's Steakhouse. Well of course, I called Bern's first, and was amazed at what they could offer me for a small wedding. Not only did Nan do a fantastic ceremony for our wedding and 3 guest, but she also has great advise should you need it. She is amazing and very professional. I loved her! Nan is flexible and personable. We did our whole planning via e-mail and telephone since we live 2 hours away. She was great and we had a great ceremony. Also, she took awesome pictures which we had on cd with in minutes of the ceremony :)
