1/2 Price Movers

I was dreading my long-distance move from Staten Island to Baltimore, but this company actually made the day FUN! I was assigned MATT, JOE, and ALEX. They were AWESOME! Prompt, professional, energetic, and very polite. Unlike other companies I’ve used in the past, I wasn’t charged a penny over what I was quoted, they were able to fit everything into the truck (my last movers left items behind because of the puny vehicle they used!), and they handled all my furniture with great care (no scratches!). Couldn’t be more pleased! Use THIS company and you won't regret it! Oh, and ladies, these guys are very handsome, and funny! Can't beat that! ;-)

I don’t think I can properly put into words how amazing the guys are with 1/2 Price Movers but I’m going to try! Moving is stressful whether it’s a personal move or a business. In my case my business was relocating and having known many people who used 1/2 Price Movers for personal home moves, I was happy to hear they did businesses as well. From start to finish I have no complaints. Christine and Jesse at the home office were sweet, accommodating and professional.

Now on to the wonderful gentlemen who did the actual move. John C, Anthony, Leo, Steve V, Conner, Erick, and Al. I could not have picked a better group. They are truly the heart of the company. They were personable, respectful and helpful. I didn’t expect there to be as much fun or laughter during a move. When is this process ever described as fun! You could tell they enjoyed what they were doing and who they were doing it with. They defined teamwork. They were able to handle anything I asked of them and I never once heard them say they couldn’t do it or make it work somehow. They never complained or lost their positive attitudes. I had concerns about some very expansive items that needed to be moved. They put me right at easy and made it their priority to move them with the utmost care. And on top of all of that they were fast but never careless or destructive.

I wish I could say more they really were the best part of this crazy day! Thank you again for all your help. Above and beyond what they had to do!

I was in need of a quick move, literally from one day to the next and these guys did the job! The crew showed up on time and were super nice from the start! They were professional, quick, knowledgeable, and efficient ! Made my move smooth and stress free! They definitely took the work load off my shoulders. The crew was John, Derrick, John C. and Louie, these guys were awesome and really worked well together! Look forward to working with them again for my next big move!

The staff at 1/2 price movers is absolutely awesome. This is truly a great family business. It starts with the staff to the team leaders to the movers. Team leader Ricky, along with Tyrrell, Lamar and Marty did a fantastic job moving my furniture. I was very impressed with the handling of my baby grand piano, it was treated as if it belonged to them. The team arrived on time and the entire move from loading to unloading took about 3.5 hours. I highly recommend them and their quality staff for any type of move, large or small. Their flat rates are unbeatable!!

I just got done with my move with half price movers, to say they did a good job is an understatement, everyone from the sales girl to the movers was extremely professional. The men arrived on time, went over my furniture and started to wrap and pack everything efficiently. They were done with my entire 2 bedroom apartment move in less than 3 hours. I would recommend them without reservation. Thank you half price movers.

To start I would like to commend Linda in the office for helping me and getting me a quote, all I needed to do was list all my furniture and she gave me a flat rate. I received a call the day before my scheduled move, telling me the time the movers would show up. The next morning I received a call from the driver ricky, introducing himself and confirming the time they would get to my old apartment. When they arrived i was introduced to rest of the team marty and Dennis. These three men wrapped and emptied my 2 bedroom apartment within an hour and a half. When they got to my new apartment, there was a problem with the elevator, which the super said would take half an hour. Since my apt is on the third floor My movers just started taking the stairs while the elevator was being repaired. They must have finished half the job by the time the elevator was operational. Professional, respectful and hard working, I highly recommend half price movers.

I was surprised to find these bad reviews on this web site, i happened to call half price movers because my movers didnt show up on the day of the move, so i called half price movers in a bind on the same day, they sent over a crew of four men, who were young however very professional and polite, and being that i am a senior citizen, they treated me with respect which was important. i would highly recommend half price movers to any one.

Worst moving company ever. They ripped the back of my sofa. They didn't reassemble our kitchen table. My bookcase has missing shelf pegs, and my dresser has scratches all along the edge. It's going to cost us hundred of dollars to get that couch reupholstered. The company was only willing to reimburse us for $60 dollars for the damage because they said that was the only allowable amount by the insurance company.That's a load of bologna. If that really is indeed their insurance policy, then you don't want these "professional" businesses. Don't use them. They used a bunch of young kids who had no experience. It's the worst moving company.

worst place ever to be movers, they came and said i have to pay extra $100 just for a table, and a grill, big deal, these people are cheeaappp
