I’ve been going here for years and the two other reviews are really unfair. It’s a diner that has a large choice of items. Dinners include soup, salad and dessert. Most other places it’s soup OR salad and they charge way more than East Bay. Yes, portions are huge and are enough to feed two people. The owner doesn’t put his hands on any of the waitstaff. If by chance you see him hugging someone it’s one of his twin daughters. He works day and night to keep this business going and is extremely thankful for your business. Complaints about the coffee? Where can you get a cup for $1.59? Everywhere else it’s $3.25 or more. If you don’t like something they’ll fix it or make you something else. It’s not catering to senior citizens only. Many families come in with their children and they handle large groups with ease. Don’t go by these reviews. Try it yourself and make up your own mind.

Yes i agree with JagDriver about it looking great, but unfourntley he/she is right about everything eles..the food i guess is Senior approved, the servers make me feel like im in a methadone clinic ; / and i notice that the "boss" or whatever he may be only says hi and greets the people he knows with the big bucks..which i feel is tacky even if i come in for that cup of dirty water they call coffee im still spending money with you PLEASE BE THANKFUL!..so all in all i feel they should of took the money they used for the wave of a sign and maybe put some of that into a new food supplier or maybe a new cook! STICK WITH THE GYROS
KUDOS!

YES! the place is beautiful...however-everything is covered in butter and garlic, the clientele is strictly senior citizens sharing meals, looking like happy hour at the old country buffet. The food is sub-par, usually cheap, luke warm, or just swimming in oil. over boiled vegetables, over baked potatoes, tasteless bread. Desserts were always good. The staff looks like a bunch of crack addicts, dirty uniforms, unkempt hair, suspicious scars on their arms, and acting as if they are doing YOU the favor by taking your order. The owner is running around with his hands all over his tubby waitress dujour, its not family friendly. the only good thing left in this place is late night french fries or cheesecake. oh, and the bathrooms....yuck.
