        The focus of time spent at the Center is to help each child meet the day's challenges with success; to promote positive social interaction; to develop a sense of friendliness, helpfulness, kindness, generosity, compassion, responsibility and decency. * The Environment is Challenging * The Atmosphere is Nurturing and Loving * The Staff is Caring * The Experiences Are Growth Filled, Rewarding and Fun! Staff All Growing Tree Children's Center staff have had education, training and/or experience to meet the needs of their position. The director hasa Bachelor's Degrees in Child Development form San Diego State University. Philosophy Each child has the right to grow toward feelings of competence and positive self-esteem. Once a child's self-image is intact, s/he will be ready and able to have a sound foundation for further learning and will be able to enjoy life more. Children grow and learn best in an environment which allows free access to a variety of toys, equipment and adults that assist the development of language acquisition, social and cognitive skills. Visits and observations are welcomed and encouraged. We will be pleased to answer any questions regarding our program, curriculum of facility.

        Growing Tree Children's Center provides child care and development services both full & part time. Designed for families seeking a caring, enriching program for their pre-school children. The Center is a privately owned facility, licensed by the State of California to serve children ages 24 months through 5 years. All children are welcomed regardless of race, creed, color, sex & national origin. All enrollment forms & all age-appropriate immunizations must be on file the first day of attendance. Each classroom has a daily schedule of activities with both structured and unstructured time. Structured times engage children in the further development of concepts in language, science math, listening, music and movement activities. Unstructured times allow the child to self-select activities and materials which meet his/her need for growth. Curriculum Areas for All Ages Include: * Individual Needs * Social, Emotional Development * Physical Development - Gross and Fine Motor Skills * Cognitive Development, Including Pre-Math and Pre-Reading Skills * Language Development, Including Listening Skills * Dramatic Play * Science * Creative Art Experiences * Music, Movement * Nutrition and Cooking Experiences Meals Children bring lunches from home and eat family style with their teachers. A nutritious mid-morning and afternoon snack is provided by the Center. Children frequently assist in the planning and preparation of snacks.
