Dental Examination
We incorporate our intra oral camera into all our new patient exams because it helps show the patient their own teeth. It is an educational experience seeing cracks, open margins and calculus deposits. It really motivates our patients to take better care of their teeth.

Teeth Cleaning
Dr. Fremont has been my dentist for years. Not only is he very skilled at dentistry (I have received A LOT of dental work from Dr. Fremont, from simple teeth cleanings to complex crowns), but he makes me feel very comfortable, which is a result of his cool, interesting and humorous personality, which goes a long way when sitting in the dentist chair! Dr. Fremont's staff is also always very friendly and professional. I trust Dr. Fremont and his staff with my dental health, and they are all highly recommended.

Dental Sealants
These plastic coatings are the best way to prevent cavities from developing in the fissures of the molars. By making these surfaces smooth, it prevents food from sticking in the crevices. Sealants can be used on adults as well as children.
Space Maintainers
Some parents question, why place filings in baby teeth if the child is going to lose them anyway. There are two main reasons to maintain primary dentition. The first is to maintain space for the permanent teeth. If we pulled teeth, it would be traumatic for the child. We would only do this as a last option. Plus, if a tooth is removed, a space maintainer has to be made to keep the space available for the permanent tooth to erupt into that position. The second reason to fill a cavity in a baby tooth is to clean out the decay before it reaches the nerve. Many adults have experienced an abscess on their tooth, we wouldn’t want a child to have to experience that type of deep tooth filling or pulpotomy.

Fillings
Tooth colored resin fillings are an obvious choice over old silver fillings, given that they can be precisely matched to the color of your teeth. Their popularity has increased over the past several years due to the maturity of the composite technology utilized, and the superiority over the older silver amalgam fillings. Today the applications are many tooth colored fillings can be used to restore a decayed tooth, repair a defect, or replace unsightly silver fillings.
Resin Composite
Dental tooth bonding is one of the most conservative cosmetic procedures, and can be completed in one visit. The tooth bonding procedure involves a composite resin filling which is placed in the back teeth as well as the front teeth. During the process, composite materials made of binder resin and fine glass filler are applied to the enamel using an etched process. This is used to repair chips, fill gaps, or change shape and color of teeth.
Veneers
First, veneers create a very realistic tooth appearance. How? These wafer-thin porcelain materials are glass-like in nature, allowing them to mimic the natural tone of real dental enamel. When light strikes the veneer’s porcelain, it traverses the full thickness of the material, and reflects off the underlying tooth dentin so that you have the same lustrous appearance of natural tooth enamel.
Crowns
Dental crowns are called for when a tooth is badly decayed. Either there are existing large fillings, or a large area of the tooth has broken down due to loss of tooth material. A crown may be required in the back of the mouth, where a lot of chewing takes place, or in the front – where your teeth are most visible. In that front portion of your mouth, where your smile shines through, you will want a dental crown that has all the appearances of a natural tooth – a life-like porcelain crown.

Dental bridges are most often used when a patient is missing one or more teeth. In such cases, a bridge is used to literally “bridge the gap” between those missing teeth.

Dental tooth bonding is an effective way to treat cosmetic or structural imperfections in teeth. Dental bonding can restore decayed teeth, effect needed cosmetic improvements, change the color of your teeth, or even reshape teeth. Teeth bonding procedures can also lighten any stains you may have, close up minor gaps and can be used to correct crooked teeth.

Many times when a tooth starts to ache it is because decay or a crack reaches the nerve or pulp of the tooth. In the early stages, the tooth has sensitivity to hot, cold and biting. In the later stages, the tooth dies or becomes necrotic. This is where the nerve dies and the infected tissue leaks into the bone causing infection or pus to create pressure. It’s like a blister on the end of the tooth and hurts every time the person chews. This stage is the most dangerous because the tooth infection can now invade the bone and surrounding tissue. The treatment is antibiotics, root canal or extraction. In rare circumstances, the infection is so fast growing that the patient has to be admitted to a hospital.

Teeth Whitening
As seen on ABC hit series “Extreme Make Over,” the Zoom teeth whitening system is a bleaching process that lightens and brightens discolored enamel. It takes about 1 1/2 hours in our practice to complete the teeth whitening procedure, which includes the high powered whitening lamp along with light activated whitening gels (hydrogen peroxide) and impressions for custom made trays for future bleaching touch ups.
