Petras' Salon and Boutique

I just love Petra's salon and my stylist Carolina Gaines. I have been going to Carolina since I moved here from Washington DC and she has always done an outstanding job on my hair she does great Hair-color!!!! Carolina is also an outstanding massage Therapist and has helped to remedy my pains I highly rate both Petra's and Carolina.

I had an awful experience here! I got my hair cut and dyed by Amanda. When I got there, I brought her multiple pictures and told her exactly what I wanted. I told her this haircut was so important because my engagement pictures were coming up. I left with black hair instead of the red I asked for and the most awful haircut I've ever had. Instead of movement and layers, it was completely blunt with one incredibly awkwardly placed layer and just a hunk of chopped hair for bangs. The entire time Amanda was cutting and dying my hair, she was completely ignoring me and chatting with the hairdresser behind her.



To top it off, when I called back to tell them what happened (not to ask for my $125 back, just to give feedback) Petra, the OWNER was incredibly nasty to me and acted like it was MY fault that I had such a bad experience. She never once apologized which was simply what I was looking for.



On a side note, I ended up getting my hair fixed at Blondes, Brunettes, and Redheads in Universal city. Allie did an amazing job and they hardly charged me anything to fix someone elses mistake.



Stay away from Petra's!!

Great service, cut and location. The boutique always has something worth trying on. Highly recommended!

Take it from me...Petra's Salon and Boutique is the ONLY place to go for haircare and fashion!! During my years as a client at Petra's, I've lived as far away as Columbus, MS and have always made it back to have my hair done by a professional at Petra's. In addition to their top of the line salon services, they are always on the cutting edge of fashion and sure to have items that can not be found anywhere else! No matter how far my Air Force husband takes me from San Antonio, my hair and love for clothes will always bring me back to Petra's! =)

My experience at Petra's Salon was exceptional ! The massage i recieved while getting my hair shampooed was very relaxing. The stylistst was very knowledgable and did an excellent hair cut. The salon overall was Outstanding and I will
