my car was having issues idling and a whining noise will moving. The mechanics were very nice and friendly. They reviewed the car found out just needed a vacuum hose and and transmission flush and filter. It also had a seal leak in the CV axle connection to the transmission. All the repairs done in one day. Great experience for me. The mechanics did a full review of the car needs and i really like the details to know if i need to keep the car or trade it in. The rule of thumb is if your car cost more to repair then its worth you need to trade the car in. The mechanic was very upfront about not sinking to much more in the car. I like the honesty and being direct.

This was the worst mistake taking my truck to high tech transmission! These guys don't not have any budge on the "warranty" and now I have to pay more for the transmission to be fixed. I would not recommend this shop to anyone

transmission bench rebuilt 4 over $1500.00. After driving it 500+ miles, oil pump and Torque convertor went out again , they repaired it for an additional $800+ still had problems with shifting returned it to High tech again they readjusted the TV cable. My son took it school & experienced shifting problems, truck was back in town, took it back to High Tech & they said TV cable needed adjusting. they didn't do a Hydraulic pressure check at any time. having the same problems, again High tech said it was the cable. I replaced the cable with an OEM cable. he return to school. He drove home for summer break, I returned it once more to High Tech with the same complaint. they test drove without the TV cable attached for half of a mile & said I would have 2 leave it for a week, 3 weeks later, was informed the governor was stuck and the torque convertor need to be replaced. after additional $460+ I have my truck, we will see how long it holds up. If not will sue!!!

There is no misrepresentation of our warranty. It is stated, in bold print, on the front page of a signed invoice. It is the identical coverage we gave you on another vehicle we repaired for you in 2012. We extended our mileage warranty to 50,000 miles for you, of which you accumulated 47,479 miles. We agree that you were within the mileage warranty period but unfortunately we don't have coverage in Ft. Stockton. We tried to locate satellite locations that can assist us in getting you back on the road but there is very few shops in that part of Texas other than the Dealership. You told us that you were having the dealer install a transmission--regardless. We contacted the service department and spoke with the ******* *******. We asked him what was wrong with the transmission and his diagnosis. He told us that no formal inspection was done, no electronic scan, or pan inspection. The only thing inspected was the fluid level and condition. He stated to you that there was an option to pull, inspect and repair what was wrong but you told him to order and replace regardless. Had you been anywhere near San Antonio or the surrounding area, even if you were out of warranty by 2,500 miles, we would of covered the repairs.

Warning....High Techs warranty is only good at their shop. After spending $2600 and still in the warranty period, my transmission failed in Fort Stockton while there on business. It was then I discovered I had NO WARRANTY! I wasn't in San Antonio! When I returned to San Antonio and went in and complained, they gave me a check for $616.....I had spent $3200 in Fort Stockton. So....my experience with High Tech cost me $4200 net, over a period of 6 months. I suggest you go to a dealer.

Quality transmission rebuild

After my carpet cleaning van was sabotaged by 210 motorsports, I was quick to turn to hi-tech transmissions. The co-owner Gerrald was very professional, honest and didn't bs me on anything he had to offer. He even went out of his way to check other parts on my van that had nothing to do with the trans, free of charge. I owe this guys everything and couldn't be happier with the outcome. Thanks to them my van, employee, and business are back on track. They saved my business and it was done fast, affordable and built the right way. Although I live in Austin, I'll always take my transmissions to them for now on. Remember, there's some things you absolutely can't take the cheap route on and you get what you pay for!!
