Called this lab Friday in am to explain I needed to bring in a stool for C Diff but didn't have a container was told a clean container was fine and when I got there I could transfer the stool into one of theirs. When I got there it was busy and no one was at the desk, waited until someone came to the front desk and then I explained I had the stool I gave her the Order I had the stool in a sterile container that my husband got from work it had sterile NS in it which I poured out and then put the stool in the container. The clerk took the order and took the container which was in a bag but didn't open the bag or look at it. After getting my insurance information she said that was OK and then I told her the container wasn't labelled she said it was OK she would do it. Later that afternoon she call me at home and said they couldn't accept the container that I needed a new order and specimen that I would have to go back and get one of their containers but since they close at 5pm there would be no way I could get there before they closed also they called so late I couldn't get another order until Monday. They don't know what they are doing and the girl that first called me said it wasn't her that said this but someone at the main office she gave me a name and number to call when I called her she said she didn't know anything about this but would check on it and see what was going on. Took herover an hour to return my call she again said I would need to get another stool sample but made it clear she didn't have anything to do with this. I told her I would not use this Lab again since they don't know what they are doing especially when they don't label the lab while the patient is there. Very poor service. I wouldn't give them a star.
