PLEASE BEWARE-----Broadway Tire and automotive attempted to fix my car. I had it towed to the shop and Gary said they could fix it no problem. He said it was a transmission issue. When I picked it up the first time, I paid $1095.40. Gary, the front office person, told me I was set and I should have no problem. I did not make it home. I was stranded on the side of the road and had someone pick me up. At this point they told me the engine was ruined and I had to replace the engine. I had not heard about any type of engine problem until this point. Kevin the owner and Gary told me I needed to trade in the car because unless I was willing to pay them to replace the engine, there was nothing else they could do. I refused. When the car was towed to my home, I discovered I could not even put the car in reverse. The initial work was on the transmission, the clutch and now that is not even operational. Kevin the owner will not return my calls. If they could not fix my car they should have told me and done no work. I now have a car that is not operational and I am out $1095.40.

I believe finding an honest mechanic that you trust is one of the most important things to do when you move to a new town... especially when your warranty wears out. When I needed work on my truck for the first time since my warranty ended, I asked my friends where they got their car serviced. Without hesitation, Broadway Tire and Auto was the answer. Sometimes the measure of a "keeper" mechanic is not the work they do... but the work they don't do. I brought my truck in describing a common complaint that I noticed "on and off". Well it happened to be (and still is) off when I brought it in. They looked... but didn't find anything. I think a lot of places would have "found" something to fix. The fact they did not shows me they are honest. Then, to top that, the one thing they did find wrong, there was a bulletin from the manufacturer on. They even called the dealer to check and the dealer said they fix it for free due to a poor design. Wow, another thing they could have "fixed" and charged me for... but didn't. Instead they gave me the dealers number and directions.



Bottom line: they have earned my trust and I won't take my cars anywhere else.
