Overall

I take my 20 year old Jeep wrangler to Bert's on a regular basis. Although many parts are obsolete, and it takes sending his employees to car junk yards, Bert does it & gets the job done as fast as he possibly can. We've brought him broken jeeps, messed up mercedes, and Ford 150's. They've never come back to us in less than ideal condition. We recommend Bert's to all our neighbors & friends.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!

They had my BMW for over 4 days. Then told me it would be $1,100 to fix. I called BMW to see how much it would cost for the same thing and I paid $910. They are nasty when you call to see how your car is doing after 3 days!!!! Don't come here take it to BMW !!!!!!

Shade Tree Mechanic

I dropped off a 91 Alfa Romeo 164 on a Monday, it sat there for three days. The mechanic didn't find out the problem, just rigged to make it run better. That's car dealer type stuff, rig it so it appears to run good, then we can sell it. This guy claims to be A speacialist in Italian cars and BMWs. That's false advertisment. Don't take your car to him.

As the tech who worked on this alfa, I found many of the parts needed for the correct repair of this vehicle to be no longer available. As far as rigging things to make them work better, of course i had to, PARTS NO LONGER AVAILABLE! Bottom line car came in overheating and now it is in correct working order. The cooling fan cycles like its supposed to, and with A/C on it runs all the time. Talked to an Alfa Romeo specialty shop in Austin, and they told me this repair was the only way to go in South Texas. Customer got what he wanted, a car that doesnt overheat. And if you check the roads, you dont see many 164s, or Alfas for that matter. So in conclusion, as an ASE master tech, the repairs to this vehicle were correct.
