Meticulous Remodel and The Best Handymen

We are very satisfied with the result of our swamp cooler vent removal and repair (the second time this has been done this year by Meticulous, for us: we have a rental house that needed the very same repair to the hall ceiling). Other repair and touch up work executed by Jeff throughout our house went smoothly and looked a ton better afterward. Pricing was very reasonable.

I had railings at the bottom of my front steps and the trim around the side door of my garage painted by Brant of Meticulous Home Remodel and Repair. He did the best painting job I have ever had done. They both look better than they have since I bought my house. He even vacuumed the grass by the garage to clean up the paint chips that had fallen from the scraping to prepare the surface! I will use them for every job in the future.

Quick and easy, good communication when running late, no surprises in billing. Work was completed as advertised. Have hired them several times.

We moved here a few years ago & have had more than a fair share of terrible experiences with so called Handman until I contacted Tayne for an estimate of work done on own house. I Figured that I'd let him start on one job & if he did well to my satisfaction I'd continue with the next project.

Was I satisfied ? You Bet !! I asked my wife after the 1st job was completed "where the hell was this guy" . Confronted with several jobs Tayne & his crew provided expert workmanship without any complaints. When asked if he could certain jobs - he never said no ! After leaving several messages, I made an appointment through Thayne. I took off work. 40 minutes after the scheduled time, I got a call from the handyman assigned to me telling me the job ahead of me was involved and he "forgot" to call me. A total waste! Would NOT recommend. Looks as though the no show is a pattern with this company.

Three no shows. Called with some patio and fence repairs and some electrical. I was notified the night before the first cancellation, the second time I was called 15 min before the appt. With the third I had to call to see if they came by after leaving my place unlocked and they hadn't. Unprofessional.

I am preparing to sell my house and had several jobs that needed completed. Thayne was super helpful and easy to schedule with. He made sure his technician completed all the work guaranteed and when we had a miscommunication, he corrected the issue with no additional charge. The work was completed quickly and was of excellent quality. An honest company that has a superb work ethic. Hard to find these days. Highly recommend!! Thank you!

I called Thayne with a very unusual lock/door issue. He had wasn't able to help me, but send me to Rudy's Key & Repair. I appreciated his honesty and fast response. We have a rental property in the avenues that needed a lot of work. My HB was once very handy and used to be the "handyman", however, due to a recent health diagnosis, he is no longer able. I found The Best Handymen Services online and was not quite sure what to expect. Thayne was absolutely wonderful! He was easily reachable, and if he wasn't available, he quickly returned my calls or texts.

There was quite a bit of work that needed to be done in a timely manner so I could get the apt back on the market to rent. TBHS did a great job, finished the job on time and under budget! Thayne is a very honest guy and I will definitely use them again.

We have used Thayne at least 6 times in the past year or so. He is fair and just plain good at what they do! He has worked on our house and condo. This is the second time they have worked on my house. First time they redid the kitchen/light box area. This second time they just finished up with a killer deck off the kitchen for my new hot tub.



Very responsive, very fast, high quality and good pricing. They are my go-to guys for any house work!

They fit me in on short notice, got the job done quickly and to the approval of a home inspector. The service man was friendly and professional. I would recommend using this company.

Thayne sent a guy named Justin to my house to fix some shingles on the roof and have a look over any other problems that might exist with the roof. He also cleaned out the gutters at my request and removed a lot of stuff. He called to let me know he was on his way, he was courteous and friendly, and followed up after to make sure I was happy with everything. I would definitely hire Thayne's group again.

We needed a variety of handyman services--some electrical work, some drywall, a little painting, some other odds and ends. I called two handymen who didn't answer their phones (during business hours), then I called Best Handymen, who answered immediately and set up an appointment. Thayne, the owner, sent out a guy named Matt, who was terrific. He was right on time and ready to work. He whipped through everything faster than we had imagined he could, and we kept coming up with more stuff to have him fix because we were so thrilled. Matt was really patient too in working around all our screaming, meandering little kids. Price was as quoted as, we thought, quite reasonable for what we got.

Thayne was nice but TERRIBLE... first they sent out a kid who is supposedly their electrician.. he assessed the situation and was supposed to give me a "free estimate" on what it would cost to fix our electrical problem. He charged me $65 for a 30 min. consultation that was supposed to be free and told me he couldn't give me an estimate Thayne would have to email me the estimate. Well how can someone who wasn't even at my house give me an estimate on what it would cost to fix something. Furthermore why I am paying them $65 for him to tell me he can't give me an estimate. Then when they came out to supposedly FIX my electrical a week later they send out someone else (Thayne) who wasn't there for the original consultation. So now since I'm paying hourly ($80/hour) I'm paying another person $80/hour to re-asses the same issue. 20 min into him looking at the same outlets over and over again (I soon learned Thayne is NOT an electrician just a handyman, not sure why you wouldn't send your electrician to handle my ELECTRICAL problem) his 4 year old kid walks into my house and I then babysat his 4 year old kid while he "worked" for 2 hours. Not to mention his kid was constantly badgering my 2 year old son saying things like "if you don't give me that toy and share then I won't be your friend" and "it's time for you to go into time out" and when I went outside the kid was taking a pee in my front yard bushes. I'm not sure how most people react to his kid tagging along, but I have 2 kids I don't need another persons child to watch. Especially when I am paying professional wages. At the end of the day they tried to charge me $225 for only 45 min of ACTUAL work (the rest of the time they were just looking at my walls "evaluating". Side note... the ground wire they put in was actually completely useless because new wiring has a ground in it already... so not sure why he put a ground wire in when I was going to have them completely redo my electrical. Do NOT use this company for electrical work.... I am not out a bunch of money and they didn't even solve ANY problems... just created more stress in my life.

Called Thayne's after our basement flooded to come check out the potential cause. The man that was sent didn't show up with any tools, and asked me if I had a screw driver so he could do something to my toilet. Ended up replacing the wax ring on one toilet. I was charged hourly and they included the drive from Sandy area to my house and then while the worker drove from my house to Home Depot to buy the replacement wax ring. $245 for a simple job. To make matters worse the wax ring had nothing to do with the problem and our basement flooded again.

Do good work at a reasonable price. They respond promptly to calls and take care of the work promptly as well. They were recommended to us and we would recommend them to others.

Thayne provided great service; on time, and within budget. He also anticipated our needs and modified the job to accommodate. He's installed automatic awnings, re-wired our aluminum wire switches, fixed plumbing issues, re-routed a dryer vent (from the garage to outside), installed lighting fixtures, and a new disposal. He's done a great job on everything. He's brought enough help to accomplish the big jobs. He's trustworthy and personable.

I own a rental property in Salt lake city ( I live far away- in another State). I had hard time to find someone good enough and trust-able to do the maintenance on it- that really drove me crazy! But one day,I was so happy to find Thayne . He was so good and friendly. Thayne also performed the work professionally at very reasonable price. Thayne actually help me out a lot when I need him.
