- Allen began his journey in the plumbing trade in Santa Barbara, California where he received his apprenticeship in the early 1970s. With family here in Central Florida, he made the decision to move his growing family back home. It was difficult for Allen to work for other companies as he had a high standard and training in what a service company should do for the customers. No one ran their company like the one he came from in California. With a will to succeed and a lot of hard work, he built a company that stands on honesty and integrity placing the needs of his customers 1st.Allens Plumbing Inc. quickly became a family affair. Allens wife took care of the books and answered the phone day and night. With an expanding business, the family home and garage was quickly too small to house a business. It was at this point that Allen decided to move the company to our location on 54th Avenue North in St. Petersburg, FL, clearing the land and building most of what you see today, all while continuing to hold himself and his growing staff to the highest standards. Shortly there after Allens parents, Lee and Dorothy came to work at the office with Lee working in the show room and maintaining the grounds, while Dorothy quickly became an instrumental figure in the office. Allen continued to grow the services that were to be provided to the customers and expanded the equipment and materials to be able to give the customers the most complete plumbing service experience that exists in the greater St. Petersburg, FL and Clearwater, FL area. In 1995, Allen lost his wife to cancer, and a few years later his parents retired. It was at this time that his son, Jamin came into the business as a full time employee. Jamin had many years of service prior whenever there was no school. Through a dedication to succeed, Jamin quickly gained the respect of the clients, and more importantly, the men he worked beside. In 2007, Jamin took on more of a leadership role taking care of the day to day business. Today, Jamin is the Vice President of Allens Plumbing Inc. Allens Plumbing Inc. takes care of the residential and commercial clients with every imaginable plumbing service that has been developed with a group of exceptionally skilled workmen that have every specialized tool and training that is available. Our HOA hired Allens plumbing to rebuild some plumbing work on our condo building, and while they had to come out twice, they were very thorough and we would hire again.
One of the only places I found that will work on underground utilities. I knew it would be pricy but cost was comparable and Allen's came in with a full crew and all the necessary equipment to repair our underground line in a timely manner. Would give more stars if I could.
This weekend we noticed our hot water heater was leaking. We called Allen's Plumbing at 8:00AM on Monday. Within 30 minutes they had dispatched someone my house. I wouldn't say that they are the most competitive with pricing, but they provided quality work and were professional and prompt. It's sometimes worth paying a little extra for quality service. I would recommend them for a hassle-free and professional experience.

Provided by SuperpagesAllens was hired by my hoa there not only dishonest but some of there techs have no clue a toilet at allens rate was close to 1100 in labor over a week added a permit that was not required 200 a hour for labor 260 cost of the toilet i would never recommend a company that prey on the elderly and vulnerable
We have called other companies. We have paid thousands. If you are not interested in flushing your money down the drain then try Allen's. We have tried various companies who always charge more and take more time. We are happy to know their rates are reasonable, and the service can be done quickly. I am happy to pay them an hour when it gets done right. We really appreciate the work!!

Saint PetersburgComplaint Description:Called company, $59 service call and 1 st half HR $25. Plumber took 5 min to unblock drain, sat in his van for an HR. Billed me $268.50. Didn't explain to me the estimate or the quote pricing. When I inquired how did he get to $268.50 for just a 5- 15 min job max. Company invoice not even 30 days, no notice, no return phone calls from Allen Gadoury, receptionist hangs up as soon as I call, within a week without any notice filed a lien a against my property. Went in paid them in full, plus lien costs, company refused to give me a letter to remove lien against my property. Calls not returned, lies that the owner is not in, notary not in, took the money didn't provide a receipt or letter to remove lien. Seeking attorney to file counter suit against company and damages, plus extortion and plumbing repair not completed fully, still have blocked drain in bathroom.Want to let all home owners and customers know this
SCAM .....ATTENTION this plumbing company had filed 22 lien again customers that they didn't do or did half job for due to their Scam owner Allen knows the legal system to ripped you up and filed a lien again your property I hired this plumbing company to do some work in my business they installed half job water heater that I provide to them and they didn't finish the whole job that was to installed a 3 compartment sink a restroom sink,water heater and a grease trap they didn't pull permits with the city they only put a few pluming for the water heater and I give them my grease trap to installed they left the grease trap outside the building and my brand new grease trap was stolen when I came back the next day was gone I told them that they were responsible for the grease trap and they told me that they were not responsible for it and that I need it to purchase a new one i filed a complaint with Florida department business regulation they done this before check Yelp reviews
This company will not do the job and will put a lien agains your home or your business be aware of this company they have 22 liens agains customers already filed with pinellas county do not do business with this individual they will not give you a legal invoice they will falsified document and they will lie to the court we already filed a complaint with state attorney and department of professional regulations don't do business they will scam you and you will end up with a lien again your building.

Provided by SuperpagesExtremely expensive phone quote. They seem arrogant and deliver the bad news with a tangible arrogance. They charge by the quarter hour and have a ridiculous trip charge. I could walk to their office and they quoted somewhere around $200 to screw on a new Ptrap and tighten a screw on the faucet. The old one is already off. OUTRAGEOUS!
In response, Paul L is not telling the whole story. He called us out on a Saturday and he knew that we charged overtime rates and wanted a Pedestal lavatory installed where there was a regular lavatory. Our plumber put the trim on the sink and installed the Pedestal lavatory but there was a wiped lead joint in the wall that needed to be replaced. Mr. Paul L wanted our plumber to try to hook up to the lead that needed to be replaced, also there was copper stubbed out of the wall. We gave them an estimate that included the Saturday we were there at $867.09. The estimate was replacing the lead waste arm in the wall, so it wasn't a $1,000.00 dollar job. Mr. Paul L did not have us do the job.
A simple job (p trap and pop up) became a $1000 estimate including demolishing two walls. On overtime rates the tech sat on the floor staring off into space with the bowl of the sink in his lap. The drain pipe was exposed all along and lo and behold after two hours the genius determined it was too messed up for him to tie into. i tried too many times to speak with the owner and got a song and dance every time. i was forced to pay them for doing nothing because they placed a lien on my property. be very afraid of these ripoff artists.
Do not use this plumbling company. Their service call is $150.00 per hour. We were charged $150.00 in overtime since their overtime starts at 4:15 pm-so labor for this job was $300.00. $55.00 for the service call and only $10.00 in parts. Also, when I tried to call the office to speak to the manger-I was told "they are too busy" I called numerous times within a few days and was told they would call me back, never did. Just because a business has been open for many years, doesn't mean they are fair and honest to their customers. I will never recommend or refer this company to anyone.
Do not use this company. The technician that the company sent to my home was courteous and competent, but I believe that I was overcharged for service. I expected to pay $100 for a kitchen faucet to be changed out, but instead was charged $155 for labor. I did supply my own faucet as well, so that was not part of the charge.
My advice is to shop around...I wish that I had.

Instead of it costing me $100 for one hour to change out a kitchen faucet (I supplied the new faucet), it cost me $155. I believe that I was overcharged and will never use this company again.
No forthright when giving their "free" estimate. (NOT FREE)
Questionable billing practices.
With so many plumbers to choose from in the area, I feel I chose wrongly. DON"T make the same mistake.

Provided by SuperpagesMy water heater went out at 4 pm on a Saturday and Allen's had someone out by 5:30 pm. They replaced my old water heater with one from their warehouse and they were finished by 9 pm. The plumber, Ben, was very friendly, helpful and professional. I would go with Allen's again for a plumbing need. They were there when I needed them!

Provided by SuperpagesI had a pipe burst on a Sunday evening and called Allen's Plumbing Inc. They were at my house within 30-45 minutes. Spent about an hour fixing the pipe and was charged a VERY reasonable price for a Sunday evening emergency! The plummer answered all of my questions and went above and beyond in repairing the pipe. He even wrote out directions on how I could repair the wall!Was very happy with the service and the rate that they charged me. Very knowledgable and plesant plummer. I would recommend using Allen's Plumbing Inc. to anyone!!

Provided by SuperpagesI recently had my garbage disposal replaced as it detached from my sink and made a mess of my kitchen. I contacted Allen's and they offered to come out that night. It was late, so I opted for the next day. They gave me an appt range between 2 and 4pm, and at 2pm the next day I received a call from them advising me that the tech, Brent, would be there in 30 minutes. I thought them calling and giving me the techs name was pretty cool and efficient. He was extremely courteous and professional and fixed my issue in under an hour. He showed me some maintenance tips for the new disposal and reviewed the warranty info as well.I have owned a home for over 15 years and needed a plumber on more than one occasion, and this experience was the best, hands down. Not to mention, their prices were fair and competitive as well. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a plumber. They are professional, efficient, knowledgeable, and punctual. Can't ask for much more.
