DON'T GO HERE!

7/6/2012 My husband went to Tile Source after it was recommended by our contractor. He picked out a marble with the Sales Clerk Jenny and general manager Woody. Jenny and Woody discussed the marble being purchased and contacted the supplier directly to reserve the marble on display. Woody filled out the invoice on their letter head writing the square footage of the marble to be purchased, item #, price per square foot, tax amount, total, and “All Sales Final” at the bottom of the invoice. He paid for it in full with our credit card. Tile Source did not have the marble in stock at the 2605 Hanley location, but said they would get the order processed and the product would be in the store by Tuesday. He asked if he could pick up the material directly from the supplier as he wanted to finish his project this weekend. Woody called the supplier and let them know my husband was on my way to pick it up.

He made my way to ISC Surfaces (Dielman Industrial Drive) to pick up the marble and signed for the material at the front desk. While he was waiting for the material to be brought up front, the woman at counter got a phone call. He could tell she was talking about me but did not understand the situation. She then handed me the phone. It was Woody from Tile Source. He asked for our credit card number again. Without asking why my husband gave it to him along with the expiration date and 3 digit code on the back. He then told my husband that the marble was mismarked at the store and they were crediting our account and they could not sell it to him. He left in dismay.

I went to see Woody the manager about an hour after the incident and the Owner Michael Torno the following day to discuss the incident as we feel the transaction they authorized should have been honored. They were unwilling to do so. The entire incident was a very questionable business practice by Tile Source with the authorized transaction and unauthorized return of the material my husband purchased. We would not recommend this store based on the way they chose to handle a business mishap with a customer.
