We were visiting the Botanical Gardens and were looking for a quick lunch close by. We went to Rigazzis and had a great lunch at a reasonable price. We started with the toasted ravioli and it came quickly and was excellent. We both had pasta dishes and were very pleased. The atmosphere was casual and the service was excellent. Our kind of place. I will definitely return.

We had a great meal. The ravioli was wonderful. Portions were generous, the price was right, and the service topped it off! Great place to take your family.

Venerable Italian joint on the Hill. I've been eating there since 1972. Noisy, friendly, not pricey, and good. Get a flavor of vintage St. Louis here!

My fiance and I love going to Rigazzi's during a nice evening after work to hang out on the patio and have a few of their nifamous Fish Bowls. It's one of several establishments in St. Louis that have Michelob Golden on draft. My fiance loves the Cavetelli and White sauce, where I usually go for one of their pizzas. We will continue to go here!

i was at rigazzis and had a fine meal service was good and the food was tastie and i had some for lunch the next day .just a fine restrant

Rigazzi's isnt like most of the restaurants on the hill. Here you wont find the stuffy atmosphere and high prices but instead a fun filled evening with a light atmosphere.



The food at Rigazzi's is simply excellent (I recommend the Bakes Pasta Pepperonata or the Chicken Mary) Food always tastes wonderful even more than what i was expecting. The pasta dinners come with salads and under 20 bucks even with a drink (try that at giovanni's) lol



My uncle has been going to Rigazzi's since the 70's and eating the fried chicken... I have personally never tried it but he swears to it. Good service food and prices....5 Stars!

Hey, i'm not a profesional food critic, so i won't try to tell you how anything "should be" I have been going there for years for lunch & I bring my family for dinner.

I think they have great food! For lunch I get the Herb Chicken with pasta & a vegetable for $8.50 tax included.

When i go with my family, I always get the Hill pizza, ( i'ts not the usual pizza you get everywhere you go.. it has a crispy crust and they use provolone instyead of mozzarella.) My wife always gets the Chicken Parmesan. the kids like that they get an ice cream bar.. lol.

I think what I like most is that they don't pretend to be something that they are not.. they just serve great food and i have become freinds with many of the staff. It's always fun to go there.. don't expect a fake "Hello, How do You do Sir"...instead ecpect to experience a working italian restaurant thru & thru...

I love their pizza. I"ve tried several types and all were fantastic, the prices are great and the staff was very friendly.

Rigazzi's has been on the hill for a long time I remember my dad bringing me along with him to pick up to go orders while he snuck a fishblowl in , i couldnt wait to get home to dig in to that pizza.



I still go there today to get pizza (Large Meat Lovers MMm) along with many other things , This is a family owned buisness not some chain rest and i will continue to eat there with my family.

New to St. Louis, and anxious to try the fabled Hill with visiting friends from out of state, we choose this restaurant after reading several reviews online. Fresh from an extended stay in Europe, we greatly anticipated the promise of "traditional Italian cusine." We could not have been more disappointed with our selection. Upon arriving at the restaurant on Wednesday evening, we were initially encouraged by the full parking lot. Our smiles quickly faded however, as we were escorted through a smokey bar and into a cramped dining room where we could barely negotiate our way between tables and chairs to our assigned spot. Our table was covered in a sticky, plastic, red and white checked tablecloth reminiscent of a 1980's Pizza Hut. Our flimsy eating utinsels (closer to aluminum foil than to silverware) had all been badly mangled and seemed more fitting for a POW camp than a mid-scale eatery on the prestigious Hill. A disinterested and robotic member of the service staff approached us for our drinks orders, and we each ordered from their nice assortment of draft beer. While we waited for the beverages to arrive, our sticky fingers flipped through greasy menus and we tried to match the entrees with the dishes our fellow diners seemed to be enjoying around us. We settled on an appetizer combo which included toasted ravioli (rumored to be a "must try"), stuffed artichokes, and grilled Portobello mushrooms. For entrees, we selected two pizzas from the menu, The Hill Special and, leaning toward the conservative, a cheese pizza. The appetizers arrived without fanfare or a smile, and they were practically inedible. The toasted ravioli were hard, burned, and dry and they reminded us of pizza rolls left in the oven overnight. The stuffed artichokes were dark brown balls, seemingly fried in two-month-old oil. Neither selection improved when dipped in the mystery meat sauce provided. The sliced mushrooms, luke-warm and rubbery, did little to excite us for the main course. Our pizzas were delivered covered in a processed cheese product that St. Louisans foundly call Provel. This sliced product remotely resembles cheese in appearance, yet its taste and consistency is closer to melted plastic wrap. The pizzas' traditional oven-baked crust was burned and the thin spread of sauce might have come from a Chef Boyardee home kit. Unable to finish a single slice, we called for the check and a couple of take-out boxes. The $65 tab was incredibly steep for such a miserable dining experience. Back at home, we tested the pizza on our indescriminating teens, who quickly tossed the pizza in the trash after a single taste. As our stomachs rumbled, we checked the Internet for some insight into the mystery of Provel and possible side-effects for injesting such an unnatural product. We were shocked to find that many restaurants on The Hill incorporate this mutation into their pasta dishes as well. Further research revealed, much to our relief, that Provel is rarely found outside St. Louis. In a way, this abomination has been quarantined to the city limits. I have resolved myself to help keep it that way. If the word of such a product being used in Italian cusine spread across the Atlantic, the international outcry would be deafening.

i'm also italian so i grew up with home made italian food that my great-grandmother passed down to her daughter and so on. when i go in there, i feel like i'm at home!

i think what i like best, besides the fried spinach and toasted ravioli, is that the place is real, not a sculptured model of what some franchise thinks how an italian restaurant should be portayed. thumbs up!

My family has been going here for years and have always had THE best service! The staff is like family and always are happy to see us. Everything on the menu is great. The potato skins are superb and we can't avoid enjoying a fishbowl or two! Highly reccommended.

A very nice place to eat.I like the prices but I love the quality is waht a adore and so will you just give them a try you will be surprised

I live in the neighbor hood and the food is good but the staff is even better. I take my kids there once a week.
