They have been fantastic. I bought a new Toyota out of town, and needed a local dealership for the toyota care service. I started at a different dealership and wasn't satisfied with the service and length of wait, so I switched. I have come to Ackerman every 5k miles for my tuneups. They are super friendly and prompt. Although 95% of my visits have been for scheduled maintenance. I did have to come in because I got a nail in my tire- they patched it quickly and the price was reasonable. So far they are 5 star for service!

I had an excellent experience at Ackerman Toyota. I got a great price when I went throught the internet and didn't have to haggle to get it. All of my emails were answered quickly, even the ones I sent late at night. My salesperson was upfront and very friendly. I can't say enough good things about my experience.

Excellent service, upfront, nothing hidden. Firm has been in business for over 50 years and my experience indicates why they are still in business today.

Have not used their service to date but family and friends are very satisfied with the dealer.

We were trading in a 4-year old Subaru for a new 2010 Toyota Venza that had already been marked down about $2,000. I was braced for getting a low-ball offer for our car, since the discount had already been taken on the floor model. I was pleasantly surprised by a fair offer and minimal (1 time) back-and-forth to the manager. The entire experience was relatively quick and totally painless. I did not feel like I had been manipulated or cheated.

I recently bought a used 4Runner there and it was a really smooth enjoyable process. I worked with Darwin in sales and their Finance guy Dave was also very nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend the dealership based on the my experience with buying a car there.

I have been taking my '08 Scion TC here since I bought it (from another Toyota dealership) in January and my services have always been great! I will only go here for oil changes, especially after a terrible service experience at a Jiffy Lube a few weeks ago. These guys are always friendly, quick, and honest in recommending only the services you need, and without trying to convince you to buy a more expensive oil. The pricing is comparable to the quick change spots, and small services like oil changes, tire rotation, and tire patching, do not require an appointment. The employees are very professional and I always feels good about my car when I leave, no nagging "I wonder what they actually did" feeling.

Came in on a weekday afternoon for an oil change, left with new tires in about 3 hours. Which was fine, because I actually did need new tires. I liked how the service manager took me into the garage for a walk-around of my car. Decent waiting area, and typical (expensive) dealership prices. Only complaint is that they didn't give me an itemized receipt or a printout of the alignment. Probably just an oversight, I'd make sure to ask next time.

This is the only place I will let work on my car. I even had it towed down here from Bridgeton when it was involved in an accident. Ask for Big Daddy to work on your car. He does a great job! (And he will think its funny that somone he doesnt know is asking for him by his nickname)

We had a very good experience with Rebeccah. She was responsive to our email questions, very knowledgeable about the product, and took as much time as was needed to help us find the right vehicle. We felt the price was fair and that we were well treated. She was upfront with all costs involved and generally very pleasant to deal with. There were no surprises at signing. We also had a very good experience with the finance manager. Based on our overall experience with Ackerman Toyota, we would recommend them to others.

matt and adam were very professional in their approach to me as a customer. they were very friendly and were upfront with any defect in the car. we felt very comfortable throuout the process of purchasing the car. matt explained everything about the options available with prices and answered all my questions to my satisfaction.

I went there to buy a used dodge truck and greeted by Rebeccah boulware which i had talked to on the phone prior to coming up there. She was more thn helpful as well as the whole staff. We looked at the truck i had called about and after looking at some numbers it made clear since to buy a new toyota truck. i looked at several and could not make up my mind the staff was very patient with me and customer service was wonderful. I was not pushed into anything and she knew a great deal about the products she was selling and after much debate she found a truck that suited me perfectly. Overall it was a wonderful expirence and would recomend to anyone that they go there.

Horrible service durring and a...

Horrible service durring and after the sale. I purchased a vehicle from this dealership 6 years ago and without telling me the dealership loaded the contract with GAP insurance ($600+) I didn't want or need. After contacting them and Toyota they removed the insurance. I found another vehicle there that I really liked there and against my better judgemant tried to purchase it. Durring the deal they tried loading an extended warranty into the deal without telling me even though I already had a Certified Warranty that can with the vehicle. I tried to buy the car (paying what they were asking, $27k) and had more issues than I though was possible. (1.) The emissions paperwork was missing when I picked up the vehicle. The salesperson called and asked me after signing if I had signed the warranty paperwork, that it was also MIA (2.) I got a call two weeks later from a gentlemen in Baltimore telling me he had my contract, title, credit app. and my wife and my personal information laying open on his desk and didn't know how it got there. The GM told me it was the company between them and the credit union, and I should call and talk to their manager. He didn't think this was an issue. (3.) The contract ended up having the wrong VIN number on it. I tried to get the vehicle insured and my insurance company told me it was wrong over the phone. (4.) The contract had around 1,500 less miles than the vehicle actually had on it, negating part of the Certified Warranty. The GM Brian Hacay told me "an owner had taken the vehicle out and the finance manager didn't get the miles off the vehicle when he actually wrote the contract". They had the vehicle for a week after I agreed to buy it (over the week of the 4th of July). (5.) I told them I would bring the vehicle back, but they had already sold my $5,500 trade in. The GM told me I would have to deal with the credit union and told me the loan had gone through and the VIN had been corrected, but that was an out right lie, since I was holding the loan paperwork in my hand and it was indeed wrong on the loan also. Brian Hacay, their GM, then left a voicemail offering to do some business with my employer to "help me out on my end". I filed a complaint with the Attorney General and the BBB. The loan was cleared shortly after I filed the complaints with the AG, but I am still out the money on my trade, waiting for the AG to work this out. These guys are as bad and as shady as they get.

Couldn't have been a better ca...

Couldn't have been a better car buying experience. Our salesman was not at all the typical car salesman. He was not pushy and helped us figure things out. We were in town for a visit and decided to look at their lot out. We had been shopping for a vehicle for a few weeks already with no good luck. They are far from home, but I will definitely drive back their for future needs. Thanks

My car was totaled during 60K ...

My car was totaled during 60K mile servicing. I gave my car to Toyota Ackerman in excellent condition for routine service and returned to a $430 bill and a totaled car. After returning to receive my car, I was asked to first pay my $430 bill. I was then escorted to my car. As I entered the car, a technician from across the hall unprofessionally yelled "you may want to call your insurance company, you got pounded by hail." I spoke on the telephone with a technician who was unapologetic and unprofessional. Even after speaking with a manager, they remained indifferent and offered no compensation. The car was damaged on their watch and on their property and is now a total loss.

What would you do if you woke up from surgery to find your little finger broken by an act-of-God was told "you best call your insurance company?" You would be mad, right? Well am. Avoid Ackerman Toyota.

Awesome

I visited a few car dealers throughout the city and county, and Ackerman Toyota was BY FAR the BEST! We were not hounded, and each person we dealt with there was extremely friendly and helpful. The saleslady told us about the car, let us ask questions, and then let us be. When the critical decison time came, she walked away and gave us a few minutes in private, so we could discuss the car without anyone else around. She was very respectable and even made the car buying experience FUN! Thanks Ackerman for employing such a wonderful and knowledgeable staff!
